Fantastic crowd. Hopefully the warriors build on this and stage a home there annually. Maybe more engagement in the build next time as preparing all week in Auckland clearly didn't do anything for their performance

It took the Warriors 19 seasons to take one of their home games outside of Auckland.

And when they do, it gets 30k.

Great stuff!! but they should have been doing it earlier

For as much sh*t as they get for being bandwagoners parra fans really do a great job showing up when their team is absolute shite.

These crowds have got to give credence to the call for a 2nd NZ team.

The caketin does look good when its more than half full

Having said that: The Phoenix, the A-League club, very cleverly positions the crowd to be at the tv end, which gives an impression the stadium is full on tv. Even though the PAX is 10K

I am struggling to think of the last time the Warriors got a dud crowd outside Auckland.

Games have been played at Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin (trial), And Tuapo before pretty good crowds.

Needs to happen more than once a year.

Slight problem, there is no Wellington bid. Great crowd though and Warriors have to better tap into this region.

Obviously but given the crowds they've pulled the NRL clearly need to at the very least explore the idea of having a team there. They'd offer much more to the comp than some of the would be clubs/areas that have shown an interest.

I think the NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS should be just that and play every home game or even half in a different venue around New zealand.

Yeh, because the locals in Auckland who have been there thick and thin would love that. How about the SYDNEY roosters play all round sydney?

Sydney has more then enough teams without the Roosters playing around Sydney but if I was the owner of the Warriors I would like a return on my investmeant and if they are going to pull over 20000 on the road then i would do it as it's be better then the 12000-14000 they get at Mt.Smart.

OK, for starters, it is clearly obvious to everyone here that you ain't the full quid. It would not be beyond the pale to assume you have some sort of mental disability. So you must decease making assertions like this, you're not qualified.

Secondly, you can't assert the Bulldogs would only draw that, they are a reaosnably high draw in NZ.

Thirdly, economies of scale dictate the venue hire is cheaper at Mt Smart, for an entire season, than the Caketin, which is a one off hire.
