I don't know why everyone is ripping in South Sydney... The crowd last night was a pass! They were NEVER going to get 20K+ against the Cowboys.

The other game however... SHOCKING.

Yep, real impartial being a Rabbits fan :sarcasm: How about actually going to a game before you comment on crowds? Until you do STFU.

As for the crowd, from a legitimate impartial view i thought it was only fair to average. I can't really see the point in comparing the crowd last night against the Cows compared to past numbers. In the vast majority of those years the Souffs were beyond shit down near the bottom so of course their crowds will reflect that.

Now that they're finally showing a bit form wise and given they've grown their membership base substantially from past years it's a no brainier the crowds will increase. That said given the massive form turnaround as well as memberships and just normal fans in general without a membership, i think they were entitled to get at least 20k last night regardless of whether it was the Cows or not.

As a Souths fan, who did attend the game, I was a little disappointed with the crowd. I was expecting a crowd of around 20,000.

Tbf for where Sydney crowds are at it was ok, for what we would hope they can become it's crap. Souths are touted as one of the best supported clubs in Sydney, this is as good as it gets performance wise for them so you would hope that they would be able to draw decent crowds even in games against out of town teams better than most. Puts into perspective non Sydney clubs crowds given they don't have the luxury of the away clubs fans boosting their average.

souths should be getting 20k+ from now on consider it's there best season in long time so the supporters should show up. sub 10k between Sydney teams is unacceptable no excuses considering all the heartland talk we get from nsw all the time. at times crowds don't back there talk.

As a Souths supporter pains me to say last night's crowd was deplorable. there should be 25,000 plus for games. After the Manly win, I suddenly feel 85% sure we'll be in the GF. For years this feeling has been around 15-20%

Souths fans surely must feel this is our season and who would not want to take this magical ride, even if we fall short.

To imagine less than 16,000 people in Sydney bothered to attend this game surely must make the leaders of the game ask big questions-price to attend, stadium, promotion, lack of attracting neutral spectators? Must be some answers somewhere.

Also, how we hold teams like the Cowboys in contempt. There is a chance to not only see your own team of superstars but super stars with the likes of Thurston, Bowen, Tate. If all we want to do is watch the cream of Sydney clubs, then what's the use of having a national comp. It is a joke. pull your finger out South Sydney fans (those that were there are to be commended for their passion, colour, & support).
