Uh no you dunce, parra got 12k against Wests in rd 14 2009

http://stats.rleague.com/rl/seas/2009.html#14

12k:lol:

West Tigers got 34k in round 24 right before the finals, which both teams were on the verge of

Check your facts, dunce.

Edit: in fact if I recall correctly it was a play off for a spot in the finals

Good you corrected that part in bold (which was previously "which both teams made"). The Tigers missed out in 2009

Firstly I said Parra and Tigers got 34k in 2009 at SFS in which neither team where in the top 8 at the time which is a fact and secondly i never mentioned which team was the home team in that game so your 12k rambling is nonsense

I thought fans wanted games on Sunday afternoon? Where were they today?

Fair point!

I thought they(todays crowds) were disappointing as well!

Believe it or not the local RL had 3 games scheduled today whilst knowing the Knights have a home game!

Amazing.

Looked like a decent crowd at Wollongong last nite. What was the figure?

Thought the crowd was more than that today at Newcastle. 15,000 odd less than capacity? Didn't seem like it but maybe I was fooled by the noise.

No actually, that 12k is exactly comparable. Same time of year, and at ANZ with nothing on the line.

The one that is not comparable is the pre finals match to win a spot in the finals where Tigers had won 7 in a row and Parra had won six in a row and the bandwagon was in full swing

There is absolutely no way the crowd was only 19k at Newcastle today.

Easily 22-23k IMO, was really surprised with that figure.

You have no idea.

People really need to stop comparing inflated BS crowds from before to real crowds post Dave Smiths crackdown. Yes this crowd would have been called 22k before but that didn't make it true.

19k seems right. A lot of the grandstands were quite thinly filled. There wasn't many huge chunks of empty seats but a lot of the sections were far short of packed.

Are you referencing a Weidler article as fact?

Now lets see.

Timmah, who has been to plenty of games before at Newie, and would have been there today,

or

bunniesdouche, who doesnt go to many games and relies on the TV screen to judge crowds.

Now i wonder who would have more of a clue.

The Soccer lot be claiming Newcastle there own's with the Knights crowds at the moment.
I think the NRL is cursed when grounds get upgrades/increased capacity because it's happened with Penrith and then with St.merge and now with Newcastle.
Don't care what anyone thinks but apart from the one off big games crowds have been very very ordinary.

When is Smith going to crack down on inflated membership numbers?

Bunniesturd, today was my fourth of six Newcastle home games. I'm basing my assumption on an educated guess related to the attendances at the three other games.

There was more than the posted 18.9k or whatever it was.
