Nice hyperbole, but it is a very disappointing crowd, even if the cowgirls bring on average 2 kids and a dog to their away games.

I could've sworn they said Brookie was sold out on the Game plan last night.

Or maybe they said all the grandstand tickets

To be completely honest.

I flicked over at points to watch a bit of the Hawthorn Carlton game - surely 48 -50k there at Etihad.

Boring sport, but the atmospheric drama creates a spectacle at times. Was gearing up for the potential atmosphere at Brookvale - 12k.. No thanks.

As a sport lover in general you cant not love an atmosphere.

Game from Wollongong has just come on

Atmosphere effect on my lounge room -100%

It nearly physically hurts my eyes to watch a game in front of such a sparce hill

When you can see kids playing footy on the hill in the background, does someone at the nrl think to themselves " are we really a top level sport in this country "

At Metricon they have show rides for the kids, just off the split in the stand. At least we dont have to stoop to that level.....

In saying that

So whenever fox get to the 3rd pick and broncos are still alive they choose them for Mnf

So it f**ks up ch 9 for the week after ...

In theory as soon as ch 9 forget to pick the broncos for fnf

Fox could basically choose them every MNF for the rest of year, as Mnf makes the following weeks FNF choices a bronco free zone

Eventually 9 would pick them as one of their top 2 choices and then play them Sunday just so they could get back onto their Friday rotation the week after.

Pound for pound last night dished up the two worst crowds of the year. Brookvale was beyond disapppointing bordering farcical for two of sydneys current best teams.

Perhaps the NRL should take away clubs rigts to allocate stadiums for fixtures in future.

With the shitty commentary team and lack of atmosphere from the crowd it wasn't much of an advertormtngot the game.

BINGO but what ever the motives of the people running the game then they are doing a pretty shitty job or is it just fans are not into the game anymore and has the bandwagon stopped or maybe RL fans just like the big occasions.

No. That's union fans you're talking about.

Back to the bottle Teddy.

The crowd at brookvale looked bigger than 12000 and when the manly chant went up in the 80th minute the atmosphere was fantastic.

Maybe you crowdphiles should watch a game or two rather than just the crowd figures.

That said the dragons v cowboys game was disappointing but not surprising considering both sides are struggling and the cowboys are 6000 km from home.

Whats the odds on the Roosters V Warriors being the largest crowd of the round in Sydney??

Can't see more than 16k at Sharkies v Parra. I think we can push 18k, with help from a few kiwis.

Still bewildered at last night at Brookvale. Is this the same manly fans who packed the place for games against the Storm and Doggies on FNF in the past?? They got more on a Monday night against us and more against the Knights on a sunday night as well!
