Mr Eels first mate.

I thought it looked about right, considering I've thought at times there were more at Wanderers games this year than were actually posted, but there wasn't.

Fair enough, i just thought it looked more than 11k. Probqbly being hopeful more than anything.

I don't disagree with you though. A Wanderers game against the Mariners had a crowd of 16300 odd, yet I swear there wasn't more than 2000 seats spare, if that.
Some strange things happening recently with Parra Stadium attendance totals I reckon.

What's with the ticket pricing at AAMI park that causes the ends to be packed and the sides fairly sparse? Must be a fair difference.

Surely there would be a case for dropping the price for the side of the field a bit to improve this?

Ticket prices at most grounds these days are too expensive for the average RL fan.

I was surprised to find the other day that at the Knights home games, adult tickets for all seats from about the 10m line to the other 10m line is $45. Absolutely extortionate if you ask me. So much for these so-called 'cheap seats' that were supposedly going to be introduced after the western grandstand was re-built

However, I believe the Titans have the most expensive average ticket price in the NRL

The Storm had a deal tonight where members could take another person for free.

But they were only entitled to a GA ticket, so they had to send their mates down the end.

That explains why it is so full.

Just had a look and Melbourne are $50 for cat 1 ( most of the sides)

The ends are general admission and $24.

$50 is freakin crazy.

Reduce those cat1 tickets and get more of the people paying $24 to sit on the side.

100% agreed about the greater need to reduce ticket prices. This is probably the number one reason why NRL fans don't go to games.

Had a look at the Panthers ticket prices for home games and they're reasonably priced compared to other teams

Crowd looks fantastic in Melbourne. Ends are almost at capacity. Gonna call 18k plus

Using the Melbourne formula:
Crowd appearance * .667 = actually crowd.

So ~12k tonight*. Most deceiving ground in the comp.

*Please note there is a tiny chance of a 100% margin of error.

As has been pointed out, it's simply too expensive for an average Joe to go to several titans games - thanks very much stadiums Queensland!

Had a look at this link. Tickets for the Dragons game on the western grandstand from 20m line to 20m line is $70 for an adult.

What an absolute ripoff (especially in a town in a deep recession and declining real estate prices).

Broncos and Cowboys tickets are pretty much the same on the high end. Cowboys low end is pretty good though (probably to do with the stadium differences).

I wonder if the few dollars difference is down to the clubs or the stadium deals.

With the Titans though, it's Michael Searle et al.'s fault they let themselves get screwed over by the QLD government (especially when you look at the situation with the Gold Coast Suns). Also, the ticket prices for the 2008 RLWC are proof that the Titans screwed up.

However, I'm disappointed with my Knights management though (not that it's a surprise, since the old boys have been trying to run the club like it's still 1988). There was plenty of talk at the time of a reduction in the ticket prices on the eastern (A.J.) grandstand after the western grandstand was completed and boosted the capacity to 33,000. However, they went further up instead and furthermore, extended category 1 to encompass all seats in the lower and upper concourses between the 10m lines on both western and eastern grandstands.

Exactly the reason MNF should be on at aami park, sfs, suncorp wherever possible. Stones throw from the city and 7pm kick off makes it easy after work.
