DT love the News Ltd stooge Gallop and want to pump his tyres at the detriment of the game of League. Nothing unusual from those agenda driven muppets

Agree fully.

I wonder what Dean 'Bullcrap' Ritchie and Webster think of the massive 10,000 crowd for the Aye League GF qualifier on the Central Coast tonight? No doubt they'll claim it was sold out.

Was at the SCG today. Horrible views there if you on the lower stands. They should of played it at the SFS. Would rather watch from home next time

Mariners crowds have been shit for a while. All 16 NRL clubs averaged more in 2012 than they did in the 2012-13 season.

Bar Sydney fc and Melbourne victory crowds the a-league is atrocious crowd wise. Definitely is a link between gallop leaving NRL and the hostility from news ltd towards RL increasing

Was cringeworthy for sure. Just because they say its cool on the playground doesn't make it so. And I highly doubt that is the reality anyway

Just more reason to not read the DT.

22k Friday night. 4th v 15th.
32k Sat night probably 500 Storm fans.
21k today. Shit viewing 10th v 11th
15k Brookvale.

Good crowds for the opposition etc. Hard to real argue with these figures.

I'm sorry but 21k between two big Sydney teams on a special occasion like this, that shouldn't be something we're happy with.

What's so special about two teams that aren't really playing well yet this season?
Calling it Heritage week and trying to relate it to something that happened 50 years ago beween two teams that technically don't even exist anymore doesn't make it special...(they should have called it "Battle of the Merged")
Watching footy from a construction site isn't very appealing either.

OK crowd considering....

After six rounds (48 games):

2013 SEASON | AGGREGATE: 882,652 | AVERAGE: 18,389

2012 SEASON | AGGREGATE: 836,101 | AVERAGE: 17,419

2011 SEASON | AGGREGATE: 839,072 | AVERAGE: 17,481

Yet Matty Johns spent plentiful airtime on MMM over the last two days bitching that the crowds are poor at the moment.

No words for our media these days, talking DOWN the game... why?

Great start to the year for crowds. Next round is a bit of a mixed bag. Roosters/dragons and storm/warriors should both get big crowds. Manly/souths would have to be a sellout unless there is shocking weather.

Sharks/dogs i'm not expecting anything great but it shouldn't be too bad. Cowboys, tigers, titans and panthers games are all a worry. Thankfully Penrith are facing parra so that might stop the crowd from being too small. Hopefully the titans fans finally start showing up a bit.

I'll go for something like

Roosters v dragons - 25K
storm v warriors - 25K
Manly v souths - 17K
Cowboys v raiders - 12K
Tigers v Broncos - 12K
Titans v Knights - 15K
Sharks v Dogs - 15K
Panthers v Eels - 10K

That gives a round of 131K. Some of those crowds are optimistic and others were conservative but i think it's fairly achievable.

Roosters v Dragons should easily get 40k

I can't see Titans v Knights getting that many

Surely a derby like Panthers v Eels can get more than 10k... surely. Bit of promotion wouldn't hurt

I was trying to be conservative with the rooster v dragons. Really don't think it will get 40K but surely 30K+ is a good chance.

Titans i was being optimistic, i know it isn't all that likely. Panthers v Eels is a derby but it's a Monday night and both teams aren't exactly setting the world on fire. Could easily get more but again i was trying to be conservative.

You predict numbers too high and you end up disappointed.

Roosters Dragons 40000
Titans Knights 12000

rest looks good
