I also remember the 2008 GF looking ordinary on the tele... (Ordinary for a grand final, no vacant seats should be seen)

Not sure how you get only 25K for an ANZAC day clash?
2012-Roosters v Dragons -40,000
2011-Roosters v Dragons -35,000
2010-Roosters v Dragons -37,000
Based on what Paul said above, the crowd averages for the season should have broken the 15000 mark for the first time in history with 145606 people attending the final round at an average of 20801 per game.
Things are finally starting to look up for the NRL. Here's hoping for a great finals series.
Sunday games are traditionally our best attendances and we don't have one for the first 20 rounds in Sydney, which is a joke.
Playing Saints on a Monday too. Our one game against them, that should have been on a Sunday. Further, that we play them only once is also a joke.
We will do well if we average over 20k.
They've already started.

But that guy's a football/soccer journalist and he's simply talking up his sport. Shame Rothfield and Ritchie aren't doing likewise.
What were the ratings? 400000 plus?Souths v Melbourne was like the 9th highest rating program in the history of foxtel.
And only 28% of houses have fox
How long till fta wakes up to this
2008 GF had 80,388.
Even the upper bowl corners were missing people - but it wasn't because they were ill - they weren't sold. I remember hopping on ticketek and getting seats allocated on the lower bowl behind posts shortly before kickoff.
All im saying is the stadiums should be FULL for a grand final - the victorians can handle it when West Coast plays Sydney..?

Monday Night football should be replaced by Sunday night football!
I genuinely enjoyed the footy being on from Friday night through to Sunday night!
Perhaps a 6.30 and 8.15 timeslot for the Friday night games? Make channel 9 change their programming for Australian TVs highest rating sport!
And a serious look at Saturday afternoon games at 3.30pm/4pm,but for selected areas like the Gold Coast, North QLD , even Newcastle on non local race days etc.( 3 years ago the Gold Coast drew 23,000+ for a Warriors game at 3.30pm on a Sat.)
Sunday night games replacing Monday nights should be strongly pursued!! What's disappointing is that RL execs from the clubs are not thinking about this compromise solution to give the clubs and fans back our weekends!
That Saturday nights rate their tits off???..........
How can Sunday night football replace Monday , when we already have Sunday night football?
And 6.30 on a Friday is way too early.
They've already started.
