Nsw got 61k to a dead rubber in 2010..

We already have over 40k sold. We win.

Once Game Two sells out, we'll have sold out FOUR consecutive Origin matches in Sydney despite EIGHT consecutive SERIES losses.

I think we "win".

Mate just bought tickets and PAX is 55574 so with 30,000 tickets left still a loooong way to go...

I know there's approx 30k left, but the Blues winning ensures a sell-out. People have the opportunity to see the Blues win their first series since 2005.

This is probably still more profitable than selling out at the old prices.

And, if they did, then the fans got the cheap tickets you were all screaming for...

Well of course if you put it like that then you're right. 40,000 sold seats last night would have already made more money then last year's prices but that's not the point. It was an epic failure that they had to discount that many tickets and give that many away.

What do you think will happen in game 3 if NSW win game 2? Who's going to buy game 3 tickets unless they're heavily discounted again. Not to mention the bad blood this has caused. I don't know how you see this as any sort of a success.

I know your from qld and maths isnt a strong point. But 61k is actually greater than 40k.

Haha.

When we use maths and get out the percentages etc, 40k in Brisbane is far superior.

I love this, because the Broncos get shut down over their crowds, even though they are the "greater" figure. But its completely ok for you to use that arguement.

I know to all of us in NSW that post here that's probably a big thing but that doesn't really mean anything. In the end price will dictate whether people will go to this game or not and the price is set very high at the moment. The fact that last night's game sold out was very lucky and they still had to discount tickets/give them away for it to hit 52,000.

People here seem like they're going to be dumbfounded if game 2 doesn't sell out which might very well be the case with 30,000 seats left to sell.

I think most people will have gotten over it hey, last night was brilliant. Regardless of the result I don't think anyone wouldn't have enjoyed it.

I guess we won't find out for sure until mid March 2015.

Game 2 will sell out, i doubt theyll even need to discount many tickets, if any.

now that we've won in QLD people will be pretty damn excited.

Can't even get into the ticketek website at the moment due to high traffic... But that seems to be due to One Direction rather than SOO...
