Or 25k at aami, a stadium that makes the game look the tier1 professional billion $ sport we purport to be.

while 19k at Penrith looks amazing, 25k at ANZ is more and the NRL needs to start taking games like that to ANZ to draw 25-30k because it will boost the avgs and get us to that 20k mark.

to get to 20k we need to basically sell out most suburban games we play which won't happen. campbelltown and parra were almost at capacity and neither got close to 20 thousand.

Exactly. Whilst it is good we need to aim higher

Look at this week 2 sports that barely make the Sydney sporting radar

Got 52k and 37k on school nights

We are the biggest show in town

We need to and can do better

We just have to believe

 socceroos had a 1 in 4 years event. Swans had 38k in a city of 4m. Sydney will beat that in RL by the end of the weekend.

Actually I'm not. Brisbanes crowds have been disappointing for a number of years. So are a number of other teams, some based in Sydney. But Brisbanes crowds are poor for a one team town, especially compared to less popular sports up there.

The Reds managed 24k last night. Worth noting that the less popular sports are returning to their normal, less popular levels.

Agree, last night was brilliant at Penrith, but we cant grow to 20 thousand averages if we only can fit 19 thousand into a ground.
Marketing seems to be working better now. ?
Fantastic week, after getting over the Origin loss, it turns out that channel 9 has really improved it's coverage. I think last night was the best all year for a Friday night as in enjoyable coverage.
Having Evonne Samson along with the ex-league players seems to work really well.
They have been working well in Brisbane with Ray Hadley as well.

The reds bubble has well and truely burst. Telling that for all of the roars success they can only average low to mid teens

Indeed it is. For all of the Craig Foster-style soccer triumphalism, it is worth remembering that the Strikers sold out Suncorp-Metway Stadium (as it then was) with 40k in 97 (?) for a grand final... before everything reverting to the norm.

Brisbane bandwagon? Call it what you will, but flashes in the pan flash... then are panned.

VOR - Broncos pax of now: 34,111

say 3k stadium don't show, 2k Broncos members don't show ( I understand you can't!).

Plus tickets today and tomorrow, crowd will probably be 34k.
