If swans can get 38k on Thursday no excuses for a sell out tonight between two west Sydney teams in the top4. It is a sell out? Its a joke the swans get better crowds than nrl teams in Sydney. 'Heartland' strikes again.

Can you please explain what you are trying to say??

It reads as if you are saying the Eels Panthers game will require excuses because it is sold out.

??

Any poster with the word Cowboys in the username does not speak for the club, its supporters or Queensland.

Same disclaimer applies to Oikee in relation to Queensland, but I assume that it taken as read.

Promotional offers needed for a premiership team  fact the crowds are down off a premiership wins sums up the roosters crowds in general. Cant even capitalize the momentum off a premiership into crowds and membership.

Memberships will hit 17k this year, originally our target for 2016 so I'd say a 2 year acceleration on the back of our success is OK.

I hope that wording isn't too strong for you though, OK must be a huge compliment in your consistently cynical & depressing outlook on crowds & membership.

13500 is a bit low for the first game of the year at Mt Smart, I'd say more like 18000

Yep, 17-18000 unless the weather shits itself. First game back at Mt Smart, team in good form, only downer is the Knights aren't one of the bigger drawcards in NZ.

Just saying no excuse for a sell out tonight if swans can get 38k on a Thursday. Two west Sydney nrl teams in top 4 should sell out.

So you are again saying that if the game DOES sell out, someone needs to be making excuses????? For what?????

Last time the Eels played a west sydney team they had 50k. How have the Qld derbies gone this year? I remember cows titans game drew a massive crowd right? They almost made 9k. Good effort.

Similarly, posts by The Voice of Reason! do not speak for people who are actually reasonable.

You're an idiot.

Actually I'm not. Brisbanes crowds have been disappointing for a number of years. So are a number of other teams, some based in Sydney. But Brisbanes crowds are poor for a one team town, especially compared to less popular sports up there.

If Queensland won, there would have been maybe 3,000 sell in this time. Probably to Sydney based Queenslanders. Ha

Bullshit!!

If QLD had one, it would have stirred the NSW fans up just as much. QLD have one 8 series in a row and NSW game have more demand than ever.

This is a product that 4 million+ people want to experience, but there are only 50/80 thousand tickets available to a game.

Considering the price range of the people most "willing to buy", they could jack up the prices even more next year.

38k is good but not extraordinary for this fixture.

I will eat my words, that is a point.

However, the Reds are spoiled with scheduling.

I don't think they are all that poor, sure they should be a bit better, but we never get great ticket deals.

If we played every Saturday night 5k would be added to our average.

Penrith will be closing the gates when 21,000 is reached. Assuming a few member no shows I'm going 20,500.
