If some of these poor crowds continue I think it's fair to say that more teams will begin looking at taking home matches against low crowd drawing teams to places such as Perth where there is usually a decent financial incentive on offer.

I wouldn't know... I live in Monterey, ironically 5 minutes from Kogarah! More Bulldog supporters here then that myth of a club! Maybe we need to relocate them? Perth Dragons?? Cronulla n the Bulldogs can take over n provide the area with better service!

Hopefully the chest beating is finished between a few on here!!
As it stands, we have about a 19k average. If wests v parra can draw 40,000 that would leave 25k between Canberra and Penrith to make an average of 20k for the round.
Because that won't happen, let's hope the battle of the west gets 50 and then everyone will be thrilled - even the prophets of doom on this forum.

The game on Monday is going to need all those 6000 from Campbeltown:lol:

Canberra should get 15k at least tomorrow. Anything below that is piss poor IMO. I'm sure RaiderDave will come up with an excuse if it is lower though

Sharks,Dragons,Raiders and Panthers crowds combined probably won't beat what the wooden spooners will get on Monday,Impossible to ever break NRL crowd average record with these disgusting non Eels fans.

maybe souths should get a drummer to play at game like that annoying twit at the storm

or even better the players should run onto the field through a banner, that would be super

you do realize souths also had drummers and use to play the zorba as well?

what's wrong with running through a banner? We don't use cheap methods, to make our fans sound lounder when in fact you can only hear a pin drop from them. Its only offending your own supporters, in which they have the assumption that you guys aren't loud enough...hence why they need to give you guys somewhat of a boost:lol:

I enjoy all pagan festivals, especially those featuring bunnie rabbits!

Crowds continue to disappoint only of you think NRL is more popular than it actually is. We need to get all factors combining to get decent crowds (30k plus) in Sydney, the avg without those key factors is sub 15k and has been for years.

Last game Manly brought to Perth they got 21k, probably one of their highest "home" crowds ever. NRL need to get strategic and be supporting on the road games that will grow the game and the crowd avg.

not a chance. I'd be happy with a crowd over 12k. it's a small market with no success for over 20 years.
