1. Crowds are actually flat compared to last year on average - so not too bad
2. It has been the wettest start to Autumn in 60 years - without that crowds would have been up
3. Scheduling this week has been poor - Should have been a game at ANZ every day over the long weekend as the easter show is on - they would have got20-30k at ANZ for the dragons last night and should have been a game in Melb on Friday and cant believe they are playing an easter game in Canberra on a sunday that is crazy

Dragons fans have voted with their feet. They don't want to sit on grass hills with substandard food, beverage and toilet facilities. Full time move to ANZ/Allianz.

Agree the NRL scheduling of games has been piss poor.

1 game today is an outright joke.

3 games on Good Friday is just silly. Should have been Souths v Dogs and Knights v Broncos. The Manly v Cowboys game just down the road from Hunter Stadium at the same time was farrrkkkkkked scheduling.

There was heaps on yesterday. Was at the championships with 30,000 other people. Went with my footy team who are mainly saints supporters but with last race after 5 I left early to go to saints game.

There was also 25k who went to the swans at 4.40 and then 15k at tahs at 7.30.

I don't think there would be too much cross over with the swans or tahs, but there would have been heaps of footy fans at the races yesterday.

not a chance. I'd be happy with a crowd over 12k. it's a small market with no success for over 20 years.

It has a population of almost 400,000 plus a lot more in the surrounding area in Rugby League heartland, being played on a Sunday afternoon in perfect conditions against one of the best teams in the comp. Why is 15k so unreasonable

Easter Sunday in previous years has been a really poor day crowd wise so I can see why the nrl are playing it safe today. However, 2 games on the central/mid north coast on Friday night, having games at cronulla and kogarah last night, and home games for both parra and Penrith on Monday is completely stupid. Why have all 8 games in nsw?

The Nrl along with the other clubs should be grateful The Eels will prop them up in regards to crowds, no team will draw more if Parra in form.....

Unfortunately our next home game after this Tigers encounter is the Sharks on a Monday night,Sharks are just one of those teams that nobody in the NRL can sellout against cos nobody cares about playing them, even if Parra had won 10 games in a row,a Doomben Cup and a City to Surf we still wouldn't get more than 11k to that game.

There are a few reasons. Canberra has a lot of people who live there for work so they don't necessarily support the raiders but here is reason number 1.

Why would a casual raiders fan rock up to Canberra stadium and pay the expensive ticket prices when the club has treated the fanbase with utter contempt. They (the club) wouldn't give a f**k if no one showed up so long as they were still making money. There is a massive divide between the community and the club. It would be like if your favourite band started to exclusively play wiggles covers live and basically said we don't give a shit if you show up or don't we are rich already.

you do realize souths also had drummers and use to play the zorba as well?

what's wrong with running through a banner? We don't use cheap methods, to make our fans sound lounder when in fact you can only hear a pin drop from them. Its only offending your own supporters, in which they have the assumption that you guys aren't loud enough...hence why they need to give you guys somewhat of a boost:lol:

maybe because you play in a small stadium and have half the crowds, so in a bigger stadium they need to build up the atmosphere

from the storm fans ive sat next to at games they are really nice people, just dont understand the rules that well.

The most expensive ticket to a Raiders game is $35. Da Fuq, nicely priced. Thats cheaper than the Brisbane Roars category one. Ha.

Yeah I enjoy storm fans at Suncorp too. They all go for Queensland.

Cronulla have again shown up the pathetic dragons! Cronulla coming dead last, playing against the Roosters who took about 500 fans got More then the Mighty Red V army! People also Forget St George have two supporter bases, Pathetic!!! Go light more flares!

lol I know you are trolling dragons fans but roosters provided a healthy contingent at Shark Park, 2-3k at least. I challenge anyone who was there to deny it.

Canberra should get 15k at least tomorrow. Anything below that is piss poor IMO. I'm sure RaiderDave will come up with an excuse if it is lower though

I don't think we will hear from Raiderdave unless they get a crowd that he feels is great.

He will wait until midweek to unleash biased drivel.

Yeah sorry I wasn't trying to imply that it was a problem with the Raiders fans only, it is most definitely a club management issue. Like you said the club just doesn't seem to give a f**k about its fans. I don't think the ticket prices are too high although a $5 cut might add a couple of thousand to the crowd. Food prices the last time I was 2 or 3 years ago were reasonable, don't know if that has changed.

At least the Titans are trying something with the kids free membership with an adult membership. I think something similar at the Raiders would work too and it secures the next generation of members

When most of Canberra travels away for each long weekend, usually to their hometown, there is hardly anyone left here.

There is always a call not to give Canberra long weekend games but we always get them. The NRL takes years to learn these things.

The whole round is a mystery, the 2 big clashes at ANZ are great but aside from that they seem to have forgot that many people leave the sydney to Newcastle corridor to go to regional areas on holidays. So why they have saturated this corridor with that in mind is beyond me.

Next year I would have
Thursday- sydney game
Friday arvo- doggies v souths
Friday night- Brisbane v ....
Saturday arvo- sydney/Gosford/Wollongong/newy game
Saturday 5.30 Melbourne v .... @ AAMI
Saturday 7.30- cowboys v ....
Sunday 3.00- warriors v .... @ mt smart
Monday arvo- parra v tigers @ anz
