That's about what I expected.

If it was not on a Sunday arvo might not have cracked 20k.

Sunday crowds in general have hardly been great this year

If there was 24,000 today then there was 30,000 on Friday night.

2nd tiers seemed to be well populated.

Sidelines did seem to be quite scarce though.

Hard to tell when the crowd is as scattered as it was today.

The weather was overcast and freezing forecast to rain, and multiple players from both teams missing, not a bad crowd considering those circumstances.

24k for a Origin effected game is ok. At full strength would of been 30-40k potentially with both teams in the 8. That's Origin messing with the high drawing fixtures, Origin 2 better be worth it for this week's crowd sacrifices.

The schedulers at the NRL suck! Every Friday night and Sunday afternoon outside of origin stand down weekends should feature the biggest Sydney v Sydney games. That's 46 games. The stand down origin games should be v out of town teams which always draw sub 20k anyway.

How hard can it be?

Yeah nah, this was a Dogs home game bro, sorry.

Also - Dogs and Souths both average shitloads more than Parramatta in terms of crowds.

Just checked up coming draw

Looks like table topping panthers will be playing a game at Bathurst in a few weeks

Panthers finally get a chance of 20k + crowds

And they take a home game to freakin Bathurst

Wow

Bathurst chose the game they wanted. If we can end up around 13k average crowd given the draw, Timeslots etc it's a good effort

I'd love to know how a game against a near or actual last placed Sharks would draw in 20k....

The roosters crowd was poor but this always happens in origin. It won’t get any better for our next home game which is the same time slot against the Sharks minus origin players.
