Are you suggesting that the AFL game won't have any effect on the crowd for Friday's game?

I am saying that with the range of excuses we have heard from Roosters supporters this season as to why the crowd will be poor gives the impression that the majority of them are incredibly fickle and apathetic.

You would think that but in reality it's not really the case. To give you a hypothetical example say 16,000 people show up on an average Saturday night to watch the Rabbitohs play either the Broncos or Cowboys.

Say they play the Cowboys then out of the 16,000 there will probably only be about 100 Cowboys supporters if even that.

If they play the Broncos then maybe you'll get 700 Broncos supporters. SO all in all the Broncos do get a lot more support in Sydney then the other QLD sides but not a whole lot more.

Have to disagree mate. Sorry.

When i was at the 2011 prelim Broncos vs Eagles there was a MASSIVE amount of Broncos supporters. I was shocked. We started at the centreline and wrapped around to behind the posts. Was incredible to see that many who attended.

Because it's fickle and apathetic to support two different teams in different codes?

Can you come up with a statement less generic next time? If you don't believe it should affect a crowd then list your reasons...

Well if they chose swans over watching the roosters then surely they are? Could you imagine Carlton fans staying at home as the storm were playing at the same time? Have roosters/swans fans not heard of recording a game and watching it later when they get home from watching their team?

Can you come up with a more credible excuse next time?

Swans didn't even play last week and your crowd was still shit.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that if soo many easts fans are also swans fans that it would equally affect the swans crowd and ratings? or are they only choosing swans over easts and hence fickle and apathetic?

People are way too harsh on the Roosters!! I don't see how there crowd was shit... From all reports (Even Penrith fans), it was 4-5K Penrith and the rest Roosters! This Friday it will be around 20K+ Roosters alone!

There is no way that there was 18-19k Roosters vs 4-5k Panthers. I would have said maybe 2 or 3:1, but not 4:1 as ouwet claims. Not bad considering the obstacles that were caused by the trains not running from Emu Plains to Blacktown.
The panther fans were definitely more vocal and enthusiastic from start to finish!

It's not what I claim... I said I personally thought 7-8K Penrith fans (From the noise/celebrations on TV) however I was quickly shot down by Roosters and Penrith supporters who were at the ground!

You're not answering the question. Do you or do you not think that the swans game will have an effect on the roosters crowd this week? Whether that makes the fans fickle, apathetic or any other word you want to use is irrelevant.

If you don't think it will have an effect, why not?

Just bought four tickets latest PAX is 17,679 for Bulldogs V Manly game.

That would be on target for a 24-28,000. That is a pass mark, although to be fair you can't expect the Dogs to do all the work. Manly fans, get to the game!

This is week 2 finals. 30k would be a more suitable pass mark?

Might, depending on how I pull up after Friday, I'll probably go to that game. I'm hoping fans are just holding off till Friday/Saturday to buy seats.

Sellouts or close to is my pass mark for both games. It's knock out football no excuses

The Roosters I will allow some respite as it is Friday and 50,000 fans of sport are taken out with the Swans prelim. I agree with you though, it is a great game.
