I will estimate 12586 at Bluetongue...........

Im sure everybody will say , "what a sh*t crowd if they want their own NRL team they really should pack out the joint any chance they get blah blah blah...."

But shouldnt we think about these facts;

The Central Coast only get the sh*t drawing games of Sydney clubs
If the game was played at ANZ it would of got 11-12 k maybe
If the game was played at Olympic Park melbourne it would of got 12-13k
If the game was played at any other neutral venue
eg Newcastle - 4-5k
eg Canberra - 7-8k
eg Suncorp - 10-11k
eg Wellington - 9-10k
eg Perth 9-10k

Central Coast people love their rugby league but we are really getting sick of the attitude of most ceo's

" oh f**k we are playing an out of town team on a sat night lets send it to Gosford we might scrape 14k be 6k more than we will get at home"

I ronically it would have been a high drawing game in Adelaide. (11k I reckon) A lot of people here adopted the Storm as their team due to proximity and the reports etc. we get in the papers are usually Storm orientated.

Exactly. Atrocious weather all week, very little promotion, direct competition less than 2km from the ground - Monster Trucks at Gosford Showground. They should've made it one of those family fun days as well.
10,923 at Gosford.

The crowd was deadset twice the size of the amount at Roosters/Storm two weeks back... that registered at 8,412 from memory. Either the Roosters fudge figures :)sarcasm:), or we've downed our figure.

Teams take matches to gosford as the nrl pays them to do so, also corporate boxes are profitable there.Darwin is interesting as the tele article talks about a ground upgrade so maybe the nt gov will pay when this upgrade is completed

Why are Penrith drawing such poor crowds? Less turned up for last night's game than when the Sharks played the Roosters, yet no-one is rubbishing Penrith's crowds.

12,838 - Penrith's average 2009

11,081 - Cronulla's average 2009

11,521 - Gosford's average 2009

Penrith aren't broke and counting on it.

All Sydney teams unfortunately, the Titans and Knights should boost that average today.

I wouldn't say because these were Sydney teams that is why the crowds were poor last week crowds were good and they were Sydney teams.

More a reflection of the weather and time slot. Sydney teams should be playing in the afternoon as much as possible.

The Coast definitely got dudded last night - a Monster Truck event was held at the Showground which is less than 2km from the stadium. That not only took people away from the RL but also created traffic chaos post-match.
