Anyone know how SOO II is selling. I think the footy show mentioned last week that over 60 000 had been sold. It would be good is Sydney could get a sell out for this.

ehh...bit dissapointing tonight...seemed like more but maybe because everyone jammed together as soon as it started pissing down. Would like a big blockbuster sometime soon given our form (even though we didnt play our best tonight)

Hopefully plenty of QLDers stick around to watch the Cowboys match next week, first time we've played NQ down here in 5 years, since the Qualifying final in '04. 18k to that game, 6k to the game we played against them in 2000, hopefully we can improve on both lol

you should expecting 25k...

Why the dragons and dogs arent getting any decent crowds is getting pretty shameful.

20,000 vs Manly in pissing rain
23.000 vs Souths in pissing rain
25,000 vs Tigers
Best average for a Sydney team
One of the best away supporting teams

Piss off.

It was decent considering the weather. Most other Sydney clubs would have been looking at sub 10K.

One thing the dragons and dogs have done this year is travel. There have been many occasion where both the dogs and the dragons have supplied 40% or more of the away crowd. Of course they wont get recognition for this but i love seeing it.

The only other Sydney team i've seen do anything like this is the tigers.

Edit: there are a few clubs who should be thanking both the dragons and dogs for propping up their home attendances.

loll agreed, when we played at Penrith earlier this year we had half of the crowd and it felt like a dogs home game, it was awesome.

Also, the game down in Canberra, we had the raiders fans acknowledging that we had half the fans and it was the first time they were out sung, playing at ANZ, most bulldog fans look forward to our away games.

Also on our home crowds, they have been good this year, in 2 of our blockbusters (Manly/Souths) it was pissing down rain but we still managed 20k and 22k. Spewing we dont have a home game against the Dragons, we would of gotten 30-35k

Thats a pretty bad argument considering it only started raining midway through the 1st half.To the talk about away crowds,I love how Dogs and Dragons fans travel.Dogs travelled well to Kogarah,Penrith while Dragons had huge representation on Anzac Day,Parramatta,Gold Coast.

Surely living in Sydney you would have known that showers were on and off all day yesterday, and clearly any level of rain is a massive deterrent to fans in Sydney these days.

Regardless, 14k is still a solid crowd. Compare it with previous crowds against Penrith:
2008 - 10,257
2007 - 12,465
2006 - 17,510
2005 - 10,599

Not to mention it being in the big shadow of the upcoming Origin II...
