1. You only had one game, imbo.

2. There's still three days to the game and only 6k of tickets left. It will go close.

Regardless, any crowd of 52,501 or more sh*ts on any effort QLD can produce.

1. You know what year i was referring to. You know every SOO game up here is sold out in minutes.

2. The fact it doesnt sell out in 1 day of release says enough. Hoping for some walk ups?

52.5k. Thats our capacity. we can do no more. And dont comeback with the "well why dont you build a giant white elephant like ours?" comment. I've heard it all before. Your stadium is sh*thouse, i've been to two GF's there. Lang Park is by far the superior ground.

1. I don't care how many SOO's you sell out. We can still get more into each game and we've never failed to in all the years ANZ has been open.

2. The fact it doesn't sell out in day one of release? That's now how we judge crowds? F**king please. How laughable, can't bag the figure, bag the pre-match sales? FMD...

But really, if you'd like to argue that point, how about comparing the plethora of games of RL Sydney-siders see each year and how each RL fan in Sydney would need to divide their discretionary spend, with the 12 games plus 1-2 Origins you lot get each season?

When you look at it that way, Brisbane's NRL crowds have been pisspoor this season.

But don't let the facts get in the way of a good baiting, eh?

Oh and one last thing, what's your point of argument? You seem to enjoy bagging our SOO crowds but you aren't exactly offering any sort of a solution apart from the one spilling onto your hands every time you press submit...

So you're happy seeing your team play in an empty stadium? You're happy SOO doesnt sell out in sydney?

Empty seats is the biggest problem in the NRL.

Full stop.

You may chose to keep your head buried in the sand. Insular sydneysideres are renowned for that mindset.

I'm happy that my team has the highest average of any Sydney team. Glass half full.

I'm happy that SOO gets 70k+ on most occasions in Sydney.

Rednecks with chips on their shoulders who sprout nothing but negative energy about Sydney crowds are the biggest problem in the NRL.

Comma.

I'll keep my head happily above sea level, know-it-all Queenslanders can FOAD.
Solution?

Cut ticket prices in half. Dump half the sydney clubs. Stop playing club games at ANZ
Ticket prices have been cut in half. Full membership in general admission for the 'Dogs was $95 this year. $8 per game.

Meanwhile, Skilled Park is still charging a mint for their tickets, and the figures are showing.

Dump half the Sydney clubs? Do you think that will improve crowds? Yeah, alienate the core audience  That'll help...

Stop playing club games at ANZ? I somewhat agree. But for a team like us, with Belmore in it's current state, there isn't a viable local alternative.

Nah mate, commonsense realists would be a better description.

Yeah man

Its good up here. I like the bit when i go to the footy its atmospheric due to the large crowd and distinct lack of empty seats. Its also ironic that the largest crowd the dogs have played in front of happens to be the smallest crowd for the Broncs.

Brisbane: 52,500 / 1,900,000 = 2.76%
Sydney: 77,000 / 4,300,000 = 1.18%

Ratings from first game in Melbourne
1 STATE OF ORIGIN RUGBY LEAGUE NSW V QLD 1ST - MATCH Nine 2,287,000 971,000 328,000 834,000

Brisbane:
834,000 / 1,900,000 = 43.90%
Sydney:
971,000 / 4,300,000 = 22.58%
We win, Queenslanders clearly have more passion. Yet all screaming die hard NSW fans on this forum will say QLD passion is clearly a myth.

What a stupid argument.

Canterbury is one of nine Sydney teams compared to one Brisbane team.
If Brisbane had nine teams and Sydney had one they'd sh*t over us too.

Yeah, the Oztam Area for Brisbane also includes the Sunny Coast and the GC...

...SoO is made for the benefit of Queenslander. We're not the ones with an inferiority complex.

 Our biggest crowds are in the 30-36k bracket. You got 26k to your game against us. Using Fraser's stats above, that's f**king sh*thouse given your population ratio
state of origin in sydney just sold out in the past couple of hours.

I didn't know it included the SC and GC. Even if it did we will win % wise.

Though clearly NSW have more passion. The stats point towards it.

SoO is built for Queensland. It's born out of the fact legends like Artie Beetson played in the sky blue for most of their careers, and is a consequence of the fact NSW creamed them on account of the residents rule for the entire 1970's.

Since the BRL got gutted it's the only tradition they've really got at the top tier.

I admire their passion, but the day SoO is squeezed out by a vibrant international and club scene will be a great day for rugby League.
