Costa could be missing for sometime

The centre position was always going to be a problem area for the team this season. Phil Costa who started all 16 games at the position last season (but struggled) began this season as starter. That lasted all of a few snaps in the season opener. He suffers from back problems and this will cause him to miss games.

Ryan Cook who come over from Miami in a trade will fill the position for the moment.

The interesting thing there is that during the preseason when Dallas played Miami these two players were the centres.

Cowboys release TE

Colin Cochart who was signed to cover for the injured Jason Witten has been released.

Cochart was claimed on waivers less then two weeks ago, but never received any playing time.

It leaves the Cowboys with three TE's, Jason Witten, John Phillips and James Hanna.

The Cowboys have signed free agent cornerback LeQuan Lewis.

He attended Arizona State and was an undrafted free agent with Tennessee last season.

This year he has spent time with the Raiders and the Jets.

Lewis stands 5-11 and weighs 193lbs. He is 23 years old.

Sean Lissemore extends contract

Lissemore_Sean.jpg

Defensive lineman Sean Lissemore has extended his contract throuigh the 2016 season. He sstill had some time left on his rookie contract but decided he wanted to stay with the Cowboys. Hence the extension.

Lissemore is a solid backup D-lineman who is demanding more playing time. Some suggest he should be a starter. Possesses a non stop motor.

So what went wrong

First of, let me say the Seahawks played some really god football and deserved the win.

I know the Cowboys were in trouble from the time Felix Jones fumbled and lost the ball in the opening kickoff. The blocked punt that the Seahawks returned for a Td. Droped passes. I have never seen Jason Witten drop so many easy catches as he did. Poor passes intermixed with good passes thrown by Romo. The Cowboys couldn't stop the run in the second half when Lynch ran all at will. While the Cowboys running game just couldn't get going.

I am not sure but the 11 day gap between games may not have helped. It seemed to me we were not ready for this game.

Sean Lee ties 41 year old Cowboys record

I am not sure how much of the game Sean Lee remembers after that monster hit. But his effort on the day will go in to the Cowboys record books.

Lee finished the game with 21 tackles (15/6) which equaled the Cowboys record which he now shares with Lee Roy Jordan.

The 15 solo tackles he made in the game is equal second most by a Cowboys player.

Cowboys release DB and sign LB

The Cowboys have brought up LB Orie Lemon from the practise squad and waived DB Mario Butler.

If Butler clears waivers he will be signed to the practise squad.

Lemon was moved to the 53 men roster because of his special teams skills. Which was an area of the game the Cowboys were let down in last week against Seattle.

Butlers release does create a problem for the Cowboys though. Because of injury the team is light on at DB, especially at the safety.

You mean that illegal hit that wasn't flagged or should have been fined for? Motherf**ker needs to have his head on a swivel

Just because it wasn't flagged doesn't mean it wasn't illegal. Obvious the NFL believes it was other wise it would not have fined him.

For mine, well I am a Cowboys fan so I agree with the NFL.
