Todd Gurley torn his ACL last weekend so he will probably be available 2-3 round, do you think the cowboys would have any interest?

Sad new about Gurley being injured, he was having a great season, buts that football I suppose. In next seasons draft he could go in the 2nd or 3rd round. But it would not surprise me if he went lower.

As for the Cowboys having a need at RB next season well that’s difficult to say at this time. Right now we are doing just fine with Murray, Randle and Dunbar.

Murray is having a career season, being on pace for near 2,000 yards rushing. The downside to rushing for that many yards is he is on pace for 390 plus carries, which is a lot to put his body through and may take a toll on him in the next couple of seasons. The good thing for Murray though is the outstanding blocking the offensive line has done for him. Plus he will be 27 come next season. Though this is not old for a RB, it is usually the start of the downhill run.

Murray is going to get a big money contract come this seasons end. The only question is which team will it be with?

So if Murray does leave the Cowboys it does open the opportunity for the team to draft Gurley. But if he re-signs with them then I don’t see it happening.

Eagles DT: 'Nothing special' about Cowboys' offensive line

Eagles defensive tackle Bennie Logan is not impressed with the Cowboys' offensive line. The Cowboys, in return, where not offended enough to respond when confronted with Logan's comments on Tuesday.

"Yeah, they're OK," Logan said in a report from csnphilly.com. "I don't really know what's great about them.

"The running back's having a good year running, but I don't see anything spectacular about them. Same offensive line we faced last year and they have one new guy. We faced them [before]. They're OK linemen."

The running back Logan referenced, NFL rushing leader DeMarco Murray, was asked what he thought about the Cowboys' offensive line being called unspectacular.

"Nothing," Murray said, then grinned. "Let's find out Thursday."
One of those "OK" linemen also didn't have much of a response to Logan's assessment.

"It seems like everyone in Cowboys Nation has tweeted it to us as an offensive line to make sure that we heard about it," center Travis Frederick told reporters at the Valley Ranch practice facility.

"I'm not a really big bulletin board guy," Frederick said, as reported on dallasnews.com. "People say things. Sometimes the media...I don't want to blame you guys, but sometimes they spin it a little bit. It is what it is.

I'm not worried about it."

Logan does seem a bit worried about facing Murray, for what it's worth.

But reiterated a great big "meh" for the Cowboys' offensive line.

"Murray's a real good back," Logan said. "He's a patient back. Once he sees the hole, he's going to hit it, and their offensive line does a good job of stretch-blocking and things like that.

"But I don't think there's anything spectacular or special about them."

Big talk. But will he be able to walk the walk.

 Big talk?
This is what constitutes "big talk" in a Philly - Dallas NFC E show down?

"He's a patient back. Once he sees the hole, he's going to hit it, and their offensive line does a good job of stretch-blocking and things like that."

Honestly, is this a joke? Are the dallas media so worried about this game that they need to try and manufacture bulletin board material?

As for walking the walk, the eagles defense is a lot better than it gets credit for. Top 10 in DVOA run defense.
Cox, Cole, Bennie, Curry, Graham, Barwin and Kendricks can play. Cowboys can play, the line is good, Murray will get his, but so will that stout front.

This was the part that everyone was referring to...

It's interesting that the ESPN sports shows gave it to the Eagles kid for the comments.

It just sounds like he's giving his honest opinion...

With the highly intense offense the Eagles run, their defense often gets forgotten about. The Eagles and Cowboys are clearly the best teams in the NFC East and the play each other twice before the season ends. Who ever wins these games should win the division with the other possibly getting a wild card spot. So a lot hinges on Fridays game.

Im not expecting to win, but then im not expecting to lose the return leg at the Linc. I think the teams will split, and this division will be settled by who slips up down the stretch and maybe even division record

Cowboys go: Eagles, @Bears, @Eages, Colts, @Skins
I think they go 3-2, with one loss to the Eagles and Colts. Giving them 11-5 and 4-2 in the division

Eagles go: @Cowboys, Seahawks, Cowboys, @Skins, @Giants
I think we go 3-2, with one loss to the Cowboys and the Seahawks game. Giving us 11-5, and 5-1 in the division.

TBH i think the Hawks and Indy games are the keys in both these skeds. If im right and these teams split, one of these teams causing an upset in those games could be enough to get to 12-4 and win the division

That being said, both are play off bound and im not sure i care if we win the division.
I think winning the NFC E is likely to get you a home play off game against the Seahawks and if you win that, maybe a trip to Green Bay for a date with Aaron Rodgers in the cold, where as the #5 seed gets you going on the raod to the winner of the NFC S and a win likely sending you to ARI to take on the Stanton led Cardinals.
I know which path to the SB i'd rather take.

N87 your predictions may well turn out to be correct. The loss to the Redskins may well haunt the Cowboys.

It really comes down to the two Cowboy v Eagle games. If one team can win both then it gives them a great lead in to the playoffs.

The downside for the Cowboys is that three of the last five games are away. The upside for the Cowboys is the game against the Colts is at home. Though in saying that our home record this season is an ordinary 3-3. We haven't lost away from home this season so far.

The Eagles finish the season in a similar way with three away games in the last five. You guys play the Seahawks at home.

Exciting times ahead as the regular season draws to an end.

May be old news but I'm only just finding out that the Cowboys are "America's Team" because the Steelers refused the moniker back in the 70's first, and NFL Films wanted to put it on someone.

"We didn't want that," Rooney said. "We're Pittsburgh's team. We feel strongly about that."

Enjoy the sloppy seconds. :p

A loss to Philadelphia would not have surprised me after all the Eagles are a good team. What did surprise me was just how big of a loss it was for the Cowboys. The Eagles just didn’t beat us they beat us thoroughly across the board and deserved their big win.

Both our defense and offense have to share the blame for the loss.

Our run game which has been great up till this game could just not get going. The passing game was no better. Romo for the first time this season couldn’t throw a touchdown and the first time in four games threw an interception. The offensive line was totally off their game, allowing for Romo to be sacked four times and hit a number of times. They also didn’t make the gaps for the running game. Statistically speaking Murray had his poorest game of the season. His longest run of the day was just 9 yards and his average was a low 3.7 yards per carry, which is well down on his season average. Before this game our 3rd down efficiency was averaging 50 percent, in this game we could do no better than 33 percent, which is a huge drop. We could just not move the ball which explains the 267 total yards.

The Cowboys defense ranks 29th in total yards given up overall. So it obviously is a problem area for the team. And it showed in this game where they gave up a season high 464 yards. McCoy toyed with the Cowboys and it was embarrassing It is now two straight games they have given up over 400 yards. Not a good sign for any team hoping for a run in the playoffs.

I have learnt two things from this game, if the Cowboys continue to play like this then they have no hope of making the playoffs let alone winning the Super Bowl and Philadelphia just may go all the way.
