The frustrating thing is that they are easily as capable as the top 4 teams but do not show the required application to be consistently successful.

The tries they scored were beautifully executed. They can create when they have good ball.

The line speed difference was clear for the first 60. At 14-4 halftime they would go on to win. The attempted chip was such a poor play in the context of the game.

They start the second with a controlled and completed set then concede two penalties and an ordinary try and it's game over. Comeback was window dressing.

It was a very poor play. Kick long close down the half and then run over them with the wind. Instead, went for the hero play, cheap turnover then don't defend a Cleary show go under the sticks.

The Sharks don't lose that game on ability or talent. Lost it on desire.

Does the team train for those situations when they are a try behind with a few minutes remaining? Seriously. Every time we mount a come back and get close enough, you know we will never pull it out of the fire because we do the same dumb shit every time we have another team on the ropes.

Johnson needs to be given control of the team. If he wants the ball he gets the ball. Chad has way too much say.

I’m a Capewell fan, but if he’s going to come off the bench with 15 minutes to go and burn tackles, we’d be better off with Bukuya. At least he had the potential to create a break or an offload or break a tackle.

That's the thing. It wasn't just that the execution was poor.

Its just that it was a totally brainless, unnecessary and panicked play with one minute to go. Yes if he pulls it off he looks like a hero but it was such a risky and low percentage play at a crucial time. No situational awareness from our premiership winning half.

As it turns out, ended up being the difference.

Where was the middle defence, the breaks made so early, to get to 14 blot down?
Gal and another guy missed the tackle about 2 metres out ,they scored.
Defensively for an experienced side,we were crapper clappers.A bleeding revolving door at the Ritz.
We either give away big starts or fold like origami paper at the end.

The only thing that made me very ,very, extremely over the moon happy, was the "take my Cherry" team getting downed by the Worriers.Life's good.

The single most stupid play of the night, was 2 minutes after half time. Jack Williams. The team had one message at half time, no penalties, no mistake especially in the first ten minutes.
The first set was great, got down into their corner had a crack & it was time to defend like Penrith were. EVerybody was up for it.
So what does jack williams do on the 4th tackle? an ankle pull whilst the player is trying to play the ball.
Quite possibly the dumbest play I have ever seen on a football field.
He should have been hooked & spent the coming week at Newtown.

Reality check hmmmm maybe. 2019, we have not strung together three good games in a row this entire year. What are we up to now ..... round 20.

We are in the position we are in because we farh-can deserve to be there. No ones fault but our own.

We are lucky to still be in striking distance but why even bother. As a team they are shit. The good thing about us being shit is that there are a lot of teams going around that are shittier than us. 2019 is a shit comp. Only three or four teams deserve to have a crack at lifting the trophy.

Put your feet up, have a cup of tea and watch the real teams play out in the last week of September and first week of October.

Feel sorry for Gal. Should of pulled the pin a couple of seasons ago.

Dumber than Fifita , wood and Brailey leaving a massive hole for the chin to go through and set up Edwards?

Dumber than chads first chip?

Dumber than chads second chip

Dumber than chads pass that was lucky no to be called forward that the Penrith players got?

Dumber than feki standing feet planted and letting a drop out bounce 5m infront of him than out?

Dumber than gallens defence when the chin scored?

Feki has been exposed time and time again. Thanks for the previous years where your flaws were hidden but f**k off now

Chad is just crap, last week we beat second place and our halfback was our 16th best player. Would have said 17th but Capewell hardly played.

Graham, Moylan and Johnson ran all of last week. Chad had a couple of kicks and they were shit. He serves no purpose in this team. Blake green would be on half the money and is doing more. Anyone can do his role

What burns me the most is that Chad actually thinks he is good and is a senior player or important player in our team. When Moylan is gone he just crabs sideways no looking at the defensive line and then runs his robotic play and johnson cops it

Yep. The tackle was over, he was on his way to run back and he does that. It’s going to be a penalty nine out of ten times.

Incredibly risky and what’s the pay off if it comes off? An extra second to set an already set defensive line?

It’s mind blowing.

Gal taught him well. And yes the middle defence is the worst in the comp. Players like Fifita and Gal who cant move fast enough are targets
