The coach IS only as good as his players, true. But at the end of the day it is the coach who chooses the players as opposed to the players choosing the coach. If the players aren't doing the job and we aren't seeing changes to the roster to improve that then that falls back at the feet of the coach and ultimately management.

tbh stiff, whilst i agree that Anderson is abit of a Smith clone ( worries me a little), i think his tactics, retention, development of younger players is what we need. Hagan is really worrying me atm, even some of our stars have seemingly gone backwards under his tuition, tbh i'd also look at Kearney at the Storm, could be the next big thing who studies under the best in the business.

Hagans game plans speak for themselves, it standsouts like dogs balls, basic fundamentals liek defense ( not coming up quickly) or decoy runners all the time are essential, why are they rarely seen? too me it's either a) lack of respect for the coach or b) Fitness, and tbh i think we have one of the worst fitness coaches in the comp, we're way off fitness wise, just look at Manly and the Storm, their fatties are fitter then out backs.

But we can't blame the coach Ronny..... we have to blame the system.

Awesome Post! Stiff is definately one of the smarter posters on this board, well that goes without saying...

Stiff all we need is someone with commonsense too run this club, as well as a genuine winner, Fitzy is happy just happy with stability, we need someone that says 'f**k all that, we need too win at all costs!', the worst part about this attitude that fitzy displays has rubbed of on the supporters, can you believe that people actually think Fitzy and Hagan are doing a good job, ffs.

Exactly Ron, you hit the nail on its head. Fitzy is happy with the status quo. This seems to rub off on to the supporters. Before we fix the coach (if it indeed is the problem, we need to look at the management and the players. In respect to the players, we need to identify what is their motivation in playing for Parra? What makes them click? Is it the money, is it the stability is it the guaranteed income they will earn?

The main motivation in my intellectual handbook is to win a premiership. For example SBW has achieved it and only then should you seek to play in France for example. We need players who are hungry to win it for the club. Once that goal is achieved then by all means do what you want. Why stay in the NRL if you have won the premiership and earn less. On the other hand, Gasnier has not won a premiership yet but has decided to go to France. I think he may regret it during his retirement

Another thing. Ron, never have I read such highly intellectual and genuine posts that you churn out on a regular basis.Keep it up, maybe Fitzy will read and take on. We need more people like you. The world as a result will be a much better place. Please continue to contribute in such an effective and intellectual and dare I say honest way

Idiots and cry babies,

Why do you want Anderson? He's just another Smith Clone. Whoopeeee, he is successful in England but has never won a premiership in Australia. Get your hands off it. He will fail like his mentor Smith. Think outside the square you clowns. There are better coaches to go for ie Lang.

That sells it for me. I want Anderson more than ever now.

 Nice call.

One more thing before I go I want to stress to the stubborn heads in here, that Anderson is NOT the answer. He seems to be liked because dare I say he is a quick fix solution and in simple people way of thinking, he is safe because he breeds familiarity.
That is not a recipe for success. I think most people here have watched the movie Lassie come home and have a warm and fuzzy feeling inside in bringing Anderson home. I mean geez even I can coach a team to win premierships in England. Anderson failed in winning a premiership with the warriors. The club needs to move away from winning club championships and breeding the best juniors. What does this achieve? Zilch premierships. I would prefer raiding other clubs juniors and winning the premiership. People need to get away from this Fitzy line of thought.

As Ron says go hard for Kearney or another young coach who is a student of Bennett or Bellamy. Get out of your comfort zones and forget Anderson. He will get you no premiership but a top 4 finish at best. Wake up

Thanks dude, do you reckon however that Gasnier may return after his France contract expires? i have a feeling whilst financially they'll be better off, i see alot of players returning sooner rather then later, the product of RL has appeal, i just cant see Gasnier and SBW staying for too long and touching the ball only a couple of times a game.

Yep, GF is everything, you get that the everything should fall into place eg increased sponserhip, membership rises etc, we have too many nice guys in our side, i wouldn't mind a few wankers if it meant a premiership.
