Believe it or not, money is not the only source for job satisfaction with most people. Getting a lot of money doesn't make all these other problems just magically go away, e.g. media intolerance.
Like the argument that players should be able to get on the pss and act merkins, he is in a high profile public job that has media responsibilities. Want the big bikkies then you have to earn them and that includes dealing with one element of your job which is media intrusion. Don't like it, get a real job and no one will bother you.

Australian media outlets, especially News Limited, are merkins of the highest order.
They are not interested in reporting facts or providing balanced stories. All they peddle is sensationalised, agenda driven tripe in order to get the voyeuristic public to tune in or read the papers. In a sense, we're all responsible for shit like this happening.
No ek, he shouldn't accept the fact that he needs to be a nice guy when the media decide to act like unprofessional dickheads.
What was unprofessional about the media in this instance exactly? Did Boyd honestly not expect people to seek comment from him upon the news of Bennett leaving the knights?
To me it would seem obvious that Boyd would be asked for comment as soon as it was confirmed. The bloke has stated many times he only ever wanted to be coached by Bennett so it makes sense to talk to him about it.
Watching the footage the only one that comes across poorly is Boyd. Carries on like a whinging child
The fact she was doing her job reflects that the media has dropped to unprofessional standards. You really think she would have just left him alone after he gave a simple answer? Hell no, they don't stop bugging you unless you bite back. She just would have thought of new answers to bug him with. Saying 'leave me alone' does jack shit. You talk about his media intolerance as if it's a key priority, but if it was that big of a deal, he wouldn't have a job in the NRL anymore.
So to clarify this, if you were a sports star, you would be open to the media 24x7.....leaving your house, coming home, leaving a hotel, at a restaurant etc?
Ok sure
