If punishment is based on video evidence Jack Wighton shouldn't have received the 10 weeks he copped. He rabbit punched some bloke in the stomach, missed with a drunken head-butt and just made himself look like a goose. Further to this his missus shrunk his pants in the wash and the bloody ankles were exposed. And it looked like he pissed himself. NRL punishment 30 grand and 10 weeks.

Didnt Simple Jack plead guilty ?

You wouldn’t frame someone in plain sight where there would be proof they didn’t do anything would ya

He has amazing talent for a bouncer. To know where the camera was and make sure he was out of frame at the exact moment was stunning timing. He must have been planning it for weeks knowing that Fifita would be riding by at that exact moment in time. Its Oceans 11 stuff.

You do know that he’s more likely to know exactly where to stand being a bouncer.... right?

surely you’re not that stupid?

He didn’t know it was Fifita, but the shakedown would work on anyone, they just knew they hit paydirt when the cameras turned up

lol, and all those eye witnesses stood around, did he pay them to corroborate his story as well? This guys a criminal mastermind and clearly wasted as a bouncer, why he's waited all this years to shake someone down is the real mystery given his talents in this area.

Lawyer “he didn’t punch him, he just slapped him”. That’s it, end of argument. Nrl wasted thousands sending integrity staff to Bali on a jolly, if in fact they did do anything, when the fact is his lawyer admitted he was guilty, he was locked up in jail, he was charged and he paid hush money to get off. Again end of argument, he brought the game into disrepute and should have been punished same as NAS, another low point for the leadership of Greenberg.
Bahahaha, there were no tests to play for the Kiwis which would free him up for club duty, so of course he wasn't going to get a similar ban to NAS.

You have repeated this a number of times. I will assume for the purpose of the following that you have at least average intelligence, some life experience and a modicum of common sense (I know all three may be a sretetch).

Does any part of the statement 'his own lawyer admitted he was guilty' give you pause for thought? In the real world, solicitors act on the instructions of their clients and in their client's best interests. Have you ever seen a solicitor front a press conference and make full admissions that their client is guilty prior to it even getting before a Court?

I can guarantee you he was not acting on Fifita's instructions and definitely he was not acting in his best interests. In Australia he would be charged with professional misconduct. Why do you think he would do that? Do you accept at least the possibility that there was something else motivating his actions? What about the lawyer's actions of fronting another press conference once again without instructions to suggest that the $30K was all for legal fees. Do you believe that?
