You never addressed my point which was made first but then I know that's your MO, and on what basis do you say "we all know"? Because Davey says so? There's no doubt in my mind that action should have been taken against Warner and it has been. He has apologised (sort of) and been fined. Hopefully he maintains his aggression without future transgression.

But I think the issue now is what of Sharma's role in the skirmish? Why no action against him?

Probably the likely reason is that the main issue (not only as far as the media is concerned) is that Warner said 'speak English', and the ICC (or the CA, or whoever issued the punishment) is motivated to distance itself and appear condemning of anything with the remote appearance of racism. As I've said before though, in this case I think Warner's petition to Sharma, while probably not the brightest thing said on the cricket field, was fair enough…it was more the ugly way that he engaged than anything else.

There was no action taken by CA. It was the ICC which is heavily influenced by the BCCI.

Warner said in an interview last night he was fined by the ICC for "engaging" with Sharma and under the new rules you cant say anything by the sound of it, which I hope is untrue. I dont want the game to be that sterile.

It wasn't the content of the "engaging", it was the fact that he "engaged".

You have to wonder why Sharma gets off scott free as it takes 2 to tango but then again I guess its rather obvious.

Right. So the media and the public are in to him for what he said. The ICC are into him because of the nature of his engagement…which is fair enough by me. But if that's the case, Sharma has a case to answer as well.

I dont know that anyone is "into him for what he said".

According to his interview last night it was the fact that he said something to Sharma, not what he said.

He said that he will now just have to learn to turn his back and ignore them if they say something to him as you cannot engage with anyone of the pitch anymore, which I think is a pretty sad situation.
