I'm keeping Davey's thread on the front page.

David Warner has revealed that if Australian selectors George Bailey, Tony Dodemaide and Andrew McDonald came calling he would happily return to the Test arena to open the batting alongside Usman Khawaja once again.

“I’m always dead serious. Let’s be honest, the guys have played one red ball game since their last Test matches in February, so I’ve almost had the same preparation,” Warner said.

“Honestly, if they really needed myself for this series, I’m more than happy to play the next Shield game and go out there and play.

“I did retire for the right reasons to finish the game and I wanted to finish. (But) my hand is up if they desperately need someone. I’m not going to shy away from that.”

Not even the comfort of an OLED and lounge in his home is enough to stop Davey.

I'd rather pick Marcus Harris than Warner for the first test. That is saying something.

Despite a dipping test average in his last year of test cricket, this prick basically chose his retirement time as a farewell tour which is totally disrespecting the selection process. We really should have blooded a test opener last summer against easier opposition rather than possibly picking a rookie to blood against very tough opposition.

Despite not playing any long form cricket over the last year or any domestic cricket outside of the Big Bash, the bastard arrogantly declares he is available. A "I need to stay relevant" from a bloke who has disgraced the game a number of times.

No thanks!!!!

We all know Warner has as much chance of getting picked to open v india this summer as Parramatta Eels have of winning the comp next year

I think if he can get a decent score or two next couple of Shield games, they go for Renshaw

The 2 in form bats atm are Carey and Inglis. Unfortunately Inglis has never opened otherwise he was worth a look.

Still might look at him.

When someone as measured and thoughtful with her comments like Lisa Sthalaker is.

And she blasts warner for his comments you know most of Australian Cricket does not want him back.

He really has made himself look like a bigger tool then what he already was.
