Answer - any Union gimp who enjoyed them having a shot at the World Cup and not having a side that would struggle with the NSW Cup.
All the players who have returned to Rugby League after a spell in union have gone backwards in their fitness and their skill sets on their return to Rugby League.
That is a great point. No League player came back better. At best Rogers was almost as good, and seemed to mature. Sailor was the same old ego with extra tonnage, Tequiri was still as dumb as a box of hammers, Tahu came back a basket case and Blacklock was in the twilight zone. Thorn still had the carrot up his arse look, but a lot slower and eventually was only Union standard. And Andrew Walker was Z grade.

Id take SBW in a heartbeat at Parra considering we lack a second rower that can break the line.

However I feel that the game has evolved a fair bit since he has left and that one thing the game isnt light in is explosive second rowers, which is what SBW was reknowned as being when he left. I feel second rowers such as him and the Gallens/Thaidays of the game are slowly becoming the norm rather than the exception.

SBW at best would be like Mateo. What he would make up for as a quality ball player without the error rate he would lose by being injured every minutes. I'm happy with Maitua and Roberts as ex Dogs, and Tonga coming home too. We need another ex Canterbury player as much as we need Brian Smith back.

You signed up here in 2008 yet you seem to think you know what we were talking about when the big names went to union years before you were here,

Now you are just making stuff up. Standard move when your swearing and name calling doesn't work. I don't care what you were doing back then and I've never shown any interest.

The Courier-Mail articles attributed to Sailor in the period after his signing were quite clearly ghost-written, near advertisements for Union. They included diatribes about the state of the game, benefits of playing etcetera, etcetera. They were explicit in detail and single-minded in their purpose - that is to deride Rugby League and sell Union.

I ask you to find me people who think that period in Union's history was a real positive?

I wasn't aware of those sort of comments. My recollection is that part of the Sailor / Tuqiri and Rogers signings seemed to be to get non-union fans to watch the game. Any derision of league would seem to counter that objective. In any case, the individuals know they can't burn their bridges. And all of them returned to league with bugger-all repercussions.

As far as your question - No, I wont. Find them yourself if you want to.

You neglect to mention they all (bar thorne) came back when they were past it and no longer wanted in union. How you expect them to have improved is beyond me. And for the record tiquri wasn't that bad when he came back, and Tahu was always a basket case.

Hang on, you were the one saying they didn't say such things and that we never talked about it here, who's the goal post mover now?

And they were all bloody wingers outside Thorne anyway, wingers FFS.

The union trolls talked them up even though they knew they were wingers and they would not be the greatest thing since sliced bread all so they could throw it back in our faces when they didn't push in the scrum, catch the line outs, kick the goals, play 5/8th, halfback, centre and fullback all in one go while setting up and scoring all the tries.

FFS, as I said, they were wingers.

And wingers get slower with time. Makes perfect sense.

Yeah as usual you stick you nose in and open your big mouth and then have nothing.

You were the one that said I was bullshitting about what was posted here years ago.

There's another guy just above you who posted what had happened as well you dumbarse.

I have made no claims at all about what you might have done in the past.

You made it up. I have never said you were bullshitting either. You just made that up as well.

Stop playing the victim card here.

If the AFL is stupid enough to offer these guys a million dollars to help boost the image of fumbleball in the northern states then I don't blame them for taking it. They haven't boosted the image of AFL but they have their money in the bank. I would welcome them back.

Don't bother with the Union snobs, I mean how dare you guys claim that League is a better sport or saying anything derogative about Union on a League website??

I know, there is no way they would improve in an inferior sport. Especially wingers, who see less ball than an ugly frigid chick with bad flatulence.

Besides, they were all wanted. Sailor had a 2 year ban - but that didnt close the door on another Yawnion contract. It was mainly - as Rogers put it - the stupidity of having to play club rugby in front of 4 Volvo drivers with leather patches on the elbows, and a labrador called Catchpole. And didnt the Yawnion old boys give it to him over that one! Wankers.

Hayne didnt. And at the end of his career he'll have the integrity of being a one sport person and all the opportunities within League that such a status opens up.

 So true. They have no f*cking website! Union is still in the 1950's - they are at least 45 years away from having a website!
