We all knew they wanted DF brought down to earth, this maybe their legal way out. At least they're looking to save 400k unlike some prepared to waste it.
There's a new sherriff in town!

I think they are just letting him know that he no longer controls the board.

He has been reminded that he is their employee not the other way around as it has seemed for quite some time.

Exactly and i cant understand why a board let the ceo control them all these years when he is actually under them as a n employee on the chain! Go parra. it even defies logic, but i guess thats what you get when you put a controll freak in a position of power, what it actually says is that the board were weak as piss and had no back bone so they let him take controll.. and i know this cos i have been in the club industry for 30 years

I am worried about Parra having to pay out $400,000 for his contract as well as employee 2 new CEO's though.
I'd rather he be told to work with them until such time as his contract ends.... or else if he was to quit of his own accord...
But hey, if they can find legal action which means we dont pay him out then :thumb

Or they could throw him in behind the bar to pull beers for 12 months so he can cop sh*t from people, thatd do him good cos alls he has done is talk sh*t for years, seriously tho if he is true to his word, that in his heart is the eels,he should just walk away, who would want to work under a managemnent that dont want you, no one thats fair dinkium i assure you.

The smart man knows what he can get by his contract, why would you walk away?

a smart board would have negotiated with him to get an outcome acceptable to both parties, not make it personal and try to drag his name through the mud. The only outcome of doing that will be to make him determined to get what is due to him under the terms of his contract.

Contracts should be respected from both sides and you can not force somebody into a menial job to make them quit.

My question is who is running the club whilst DF is 'stood down'?

I asked that same question today of one of the employees of the club. John Kolc is still doing his normal position, however, nobody has stepped into the role of CEO in the pending time while the investigation is taking place. It might only be for a week, but it is still poor form.

As per his public statements before and after the elections, he was never going to negotiate. It was either pay him out $400k or find grounds to dismiss him.

The last two days I have been under the pump with a work seminar that finished today, so I have only been able to find out what has gone down through this site; the Telegraph; and by popping into the Club today.

While I was at the seminar, I had the opportunity to talk to a MD of a company speciailising in HR as well as some of his legal eagle buddies. Let me tell you right here right now, if this keeps going down the path it is going, I reckon 99.9% that DF WILL get his $400k termination payout. There is only a small chance in hell of that not happening.

it was mentioned yesterday prior to the AGM that he had been in negotiation with Sid Kelly during the day, so there may have been some chance of an agreement being settled.
