Will it be a defensive minded coach or an offensive one?

Fox was from the defensive side and while he worked out in the regular season, he couldn't get the job done in the post season.

Fox's predecessor McDaniels was from the offensive side of the ball and he was a total failure.

Manning receives Bart Starr Award

The Bart Starr Award is given annually to an NFL player who best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community.

Phoenix – Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy reunited with Super Bowl XLI MVP Peyton Manning this morning to present Manning with one of the sport’s most meaningful honors, the Bart Starr Award.

The Denver Broncos quarterback was chosen by his National Football League (NFL) peers as this year’s winner based on his character and contributions on and off the field.

Tony Dungy and Bart Starr Jr., awarded Manning with the Bart Starr Award trophy in front of an audience of 1,600 at what is widely considered one of the game’s premier events, the Super Bowl Breakfast (presented by Athletes in Action and the Super Service Challenge).

“I’ve always had the greatest admiration for Bart Starr because of his leadership, integrity and success as an NFL quarterback,” said Manning.

“He’s a Hall of Fame player and, most importantly, a Hall of Fame person who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to giving back. To be recognized with this prestigious honor named after Bart and voted on by my peers is very humbling.”

Manning gives his time, leadership and presence to a broad range of worthy causes. His PeyBack Foundation has provided more than $10 million of impact to at risk youth in Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana and Tennessee through its grants and programs since its inception in 1999.

“We are all familiar with Peyton as a winner on the field,” said Athletes in Action President Mark Householder, “But there is much more to him. He is a winner through his significant community contribution and a man of character and integrity in his personal life.

“Peyton and this year's finalists Benjamin Watson (New Orleans Saints) and Justin Tuck (Oakland Raiders) are outstanding examples of athletes who are committed to using their football platform to serve others. We are proud to associate Peyton's name with Bart Starr and the previous award winners."

Through this honor, Manning joined the list of Bart Starr Award winners that includes Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, Aeneas Williams, Jason Witten, London Fletcher, LaDainian Tomlinson, Reggie White and Mike Singletary.

Jacob Tamme has joined the Falcons and Mitch Unrein has joined the Chargers. Broncos look like they will have at least 10 picks in the upcoming draft. Lost a lot of players so far this off-season.

Out are:

Julius Thomas
Rahim Moore
Terence Knighton
Mitch Unrein
Jacob Tamme
Orlando Franklin
Wes Welker???

Not this year. Dollar has fallen too far. Maybe in a few years. Saw them play the Saints back in 2012 at Mile High. Great experience!

Nothing like seeing an NFL game live. Mile High Stadium is one stadium where I would love to see a game played.

Clady also done for the season. Terrible news. John Elway's OL drafting about to really come under the microscope. Ryan Harris is back already as well.

I'll be in Denver for the wild card weekend. Hopefully the Broncos are playing at home and I get to see them again, this time in the playoffs!

That's big Broncos news...

Nice! Hoping for a bye myself.

On another note, my nosebleed ticket to DEN vs NE set me back almost $400 AUD. Eek.

Stupid AUD. Mine was around $280 AUD back in 2012 when the Aussie peso was $1.05 to the USD. Happy days! How times have changed.

Brock looked sharp but other than the TD he didn't complete any passes that were too high on the difficulty scale.

Ray looks like an absolute specimen. Good thing he got pulled over for weed right before the draft!!!

Oz played very well, really impressive especially considering he was throwing entirely to backup WR's/TE's, Dysert was awful, Siemian looks pretty good for his first NFL game & coming off ACL surgery as well.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they keep Siemian over Dysert if they keep 3 QB's, even if they don't I think he will take Dysert's spot on the practice squad.

O-line who started the game had a few shaky moments early where they got Osweiler pummelled but they played better as the game went on, depth however is a big concern as the backups looked beyond awful.

Hillman, Latimer & Green were other standouts all 3 had great games.

As I said in other thread D looks amazing, Ray had a great first game, Jackson & Miller were just causing havoc for Wilson & Seattle's O-line. Kenny Anunike looks like an outstanding prospect to add to the the D-line.

Special teams however wow they were bad  every year they seem to be a mess. On the plus side McManus looks like he has improved but time will tell.
