Teams are starting to announce their final 2025 squads.

This is the Port Moresby Vipers 28 men squad.
They are also very brave to name two very young co-coaches.

Good to see that clubs are not afraid to give young coaches a go in the Digicel Cup this season.

Some listed in above article include;

1. Brandon Gotuno - 29 years old Port Moresby Vipers Coach. A former Hunters winger and only retired from the Digicel Cup in 2023.

2. Noel Zeming- 35 year old Lae Tigers coach. Played for the Hunters from the original season in 2014 to 2016.

3. Wartovo Puara jnr- 34 years old Rabaul Gurias Coach. Still holds the record for most games played for the PNG
Hunters. Retired from playing after the 2023 season and spent 2024 as an assistant coach to Paul Aiton at the Hunters.

4. Rodger Laka- Gulf Isou - 37 years old Gulf Isou Coach. Laka was the PNG Hunters inaugural halfback in 2014.

5. Kupun Wisil - 39 year old Waghi Tumbe Coach. Formerly an athletics sprinter but spent years as an assistant coach
Stanley Tepend while at the Hunters and the Lae Tigers.

6. Albert Pakak - 40 year old coach for the Kimbe Cutters. He is a former Rabaul Gurias premiership winner and PNG
Hunters Fullback from 2015 and 2016.
