I thought EGS did step down from the PLC board. I asked him a few days ago on twitter and that's what he said.

No he hasn't. As of today he is still a Director of the Leagues Club.
As Suity says, it wouldn't surprise me if he did step down however.

If EGS was to step down from the FC, I would assume the FC could only replace him with a board member who was on the LC board to fullfil the requirement of cross members.

MITS, do you know of anything in the constitution which would support the scenario above?

Thats odd. Two days ago he told me he has quit the Leagues Club Board but is staying on the Football Club board.

He said he had a business deal confirmed last Tuesday and wouldn't have time for the Leagues Club board.

He must have changed his mind.

actually that may get Roy on as the LC board would be obliged to apoint someone from the FC that met the criteria, numbers would remain the same PF/3P but Roy gets his head in there

What's the point though? He'd be out voted in every decision, and only be making an arse of himself.
You reckon he's going to put his hand up if they vote for Phil Sim to get his membership back.
We're a f**king joke at the moment.

Thank goodness we have Ricky and Ken Edwards on board.

IF EGS resigns from the LC board they club can appoint his replacement. Does the replacement need to special qualification. . . Yes.

The FC directors are, Roy, Sid, EGS, EGJ, Pricey and Sharpe. Then the question of league club membership tenure comes into question . . .

This whole thing is Yuk!.

While that was handled badly and prolly a wrong example was used to make a point but the guy needed a kick up the ass for his forum. To let posters get away with pictures with the swastika which i read about on here and having seen Spagnolo being called Parrahitler is ridiculous.

I agree mate. The site is a joke at times. Which is why I rarely post there.
Nevertheless, what's the old saying......"sticks and stones".......

I am saying this, lets clean up the confusion about Saad!

Lets organise to get the Board reports or lets organise a meeting with the entire previous Board to find out why there was a fallout with Saad.

If Saad feels he is innocent and the stories he has fed people are true, then he should have no problems attending any such meeting and inviting all his family and friends too so that they can listen to why he was ousted!

From what I hear the previous Board can produce evidence to back all their claims!
What were the Board's claims about Saad? Saad was part of the previous Board and not sacked or asked to leave that I know of.... we can assume there was a fallout, but you seem to be referring to claims about Saad, that I'm not sure have been aired (or I may just have missed them).

Care to elaborate, so that your post makes some sort of sense?

very strange indeed. I heard from sources within the club that he was reconsidering his position. He may stay on. He would be good as he adds some creditability to the new Board.

Thanks for the patronising two-bit overview. Have you been taking smug lessons from Bartman?

Firstly, using a solicitor who doesn't specialise is very dangerous, as Hadley and 2GB will have the top barristers AND the top firms stitched up. The solicitor still plays a very important role.

But the point I was really making is that this is nowhere near being litigation yet. it is really Murphy promoting the "litigation" (and himself) at this stage. Very bizzare because if you are really concerned about bad publicity, suing for defamation just rehashes the whole incident. Murphy is effectively starting a separate little media fight about the conflict between the two. There's no real basis to say he has been instructed yet. And they can't issue proceedings until they issue a concerns notice complying with the Defamation Act anyway - and there's no suggestion that has been done yet.

well said Bigfella. I reckon Murphy hasn't got a high profile client to get his name out there and Proschenks is stoking the fire. Not good for Roy. He has been hammered and don't think he wants his name in lights getting bad press.

Given the only press he ever gets is bad (and driven by his opponents) I can't see how Spags is a self-promoting media whore.

I think this employment of Chris Murphy is intended to attack Hadley where it hurts - his media profile.

Disagree with you on that. Roy is the King of self promoting. And he has Massoud and Proscenko helping him get that profile. Go on google Roy and see how many article are written by those two guys!

I thought you just said he doesn't want his name in lights, and I agree. He has too many enemies to get any good press. I reckon he would prefer none at all.
