What a freakin f**ken mess Parra are in - and it saddens me that we all here talking about the coach and management. FMD, I have been a strident critic of SK since he was hired but the players are equally culpable.

That said, can I ask (because I have been living under a rock), what Nolan or SK has done player management wise next year? It seems there will be more substantial subtractions than additions and if that is the case, why is that when argubaly other clubs are more active than us?

Does this in the end mean that we could all be here enxt year arguing over the same thing?

Why don't you just wait until the end of the signing season. There are literally dozens of first grade players still off contract - you notice no club has slipped in and signed Moimoi, Poore, Shackleton or Sio?

The priority has been the big stars. After that everyone is waiting to see what the salary cap looks like for next year, including how many players it will cover.

You and I both know that it's been mentioned more than once and it would be in his contract. I have them in mine.

I know it's been mentioned, but I can't remember more than once, by anyone at the club.
Oh, well, if you can't provide all those links where Kearney and the board continually talk about it, I'll just have to assume that they don't continually talk about it.

If we are not counting Taylor, we have had 4 coaches in about the last 17 years.

We've also had four in the last six.

The Bulldogs have had two in the last four and Moore likely wouldn't have changed Folkes' system too much, whereas we know Hagan unravelled everything Brian Smith did because Jason Taylor publicly got up him for it.

You don't know what moi moi, poore, shack and sio are doing next year. No other team can sign them till after rd 13, so don't pretend you do.

Manly has already expressed interest in shack, but super coach stopped the deal.

And if Phony is serious about retaining juniors, sio should of been signed weeks ago.

That's just my point. Don't f**king complain about us not signing anyone when they can't be signed yet anyway.

You don't know we haven't signed anyone so 'don't pretend you do':shock::shock:

That was for this year. Shackleton's off contract next year so nobody can stop him going anywhere.

f**k you merkins are stupid.

How do you know he's not holding out for more money? There's plenty of buzz about him so why wouldn't his manager want to test his market value?

You're right but not just Sio also Blair, Hunt, Paulo, Seage and many others too.

Yep Sio would be crazy not to test his market value. He knows Parra would do anything to keep him. Imagine the uproar if we lose him.

Mate, last time we threw the bank at some nuffy because we were scared of the uproar, we ended up with Daniel Mortimer backloaded at $500k a season.

I hope we do lose Sio just so we don't feel used afterwards.

One thing that was qualified is that the "5 year plan" label is NOT from Kearney or Nolan, but a media label. They expect results before that.

So what we actually have is an open-ended "plan" where we can continually battle for the wooden spoon as we build a pyramid. Got it!

Oh, they expect results? OK, so when we win 4 games this year but 6 next year we'll count that as a result. We'll count that as progress. Got it.

Once again, I'm not bagging you out but the situation at Parra with the likes of SK continually shows itself to be absolutely bullshit.

Sure, I'll be the first to back off if some good signings are announced and I wouldn't expect them to be before Rd. 13. But Rd. 13 is here and so the time to lock in contracts is now. We should expect announcements in the next fortnight.

What do we have from Nolan, though? No signings coming but maybe retaining some players from a wooden spoon team in the next two weeks.

What we have seen so far in 2012 is absolutely no progress. In fact, we're going backwards. Our attitude is terrible and our efforts are deplorable. There are no indications that 2013 is going to be any better. From your post we can see that Nolan and Kearney aren't able to attract any players to this club (yet) and he gave an indication that this won't be happening any time soon.

Running stone motherless last. Can't attract any decent players. Attitude and effort declining. Zero prospects for 2013. The embarassment of the NRL.

So, why should any fan persist in supporting a regime that is offering us absolutely nothing?

Nolan will know if he's worth keeping or not.
I suppose he could be like a Daniel Mortimer, but he could be like a Tony Williams too.

How do we know round 13 is the the start of the contract period? Wouldn't it be the end of the financial year, which is four weeks away?

You reckon he's treating fans as mere customers?

Here's a question; from a sporting organisation's point of view, is there really any difference?

I mean, of course fans see themselves as more than just customers but is there any good reason for clubs to see them as something different?

Yes - we are shareholders in the club as well as customers.
