The hostility directed towards my post is totally infantile rage.

But, with the exception of the pedant who pointed out that only four of the playeers are from Brisbane (I meant Queensland) nobody has actually refuted any of my points.

I think the reason everyone hates Melbourne is because they are being propped up by the NRL in the Sisyphean hope to crack the Vic market. It's just pathetic. The second reason everyone hates them is their lack of sportsmanship. While cheating is nothing new, Melbourne really take it to another level. There is a groundswell among viewers and critics of the NRL that is beginning to see the Storm's "tactics" are damaging the game, and I think there may be some changes to the rules in the off-season - or at least there should be.

The weight of evidence against the Storm being the champion grapple tacklers in the league is of massive proportions. It's plain to see, except for people like Steve Wonder, Ray Charles, and anyone who's had the eye lids sewn to their face!

Yet Bellamy and Cameron Smith just keep denying any intent. Pathetic!

I dont hate the Storm I just disagree with their wrestling tactics to slow down the play the ball. I believe it is important for the NRL to keep supporting the Storm until they are financially viable in Melbourne.

Karma caught up with Riley Brown, and it will catch up with the Storm, hopefully against Manly in the GF. If they try another head shot on Stewart, the culprit will have to go this time.

There were a number of incidents in the game tonight too. At least Ennis was giving it back to them.

well you dont have to be einstein to work out saying crap about someone's team on their own forum is going to cause "infantile rage" - but it is clearly warranted from the "infantile" troll-like comments.

and perhaps you should take out your qualms about the "Sisyphean" (means futile) quest with gallop - if games down here were put on live, im sure you could be proven wrong there as well...but thats a totally different issue!

and yes, the pedant who pointed out that not all players are from brisbane also has to point out that NOT all players are from queensland...

you say all storm players are from queensland - ever heard of anthony quinn, greg inglis, matt geyer, jeff lima, brett white, ryan hoffman, jeremy smith, adam blair...uhhh...the list goes on, 8 is enough to show you have NFI.

Thats the point though, the only atempt by anyone to actually prove that Melbourne are far and away the worst offenders of the grapple tackle ended up showing Melbourne as the 4th worst in the NRL, with plenty of clubs just behind.

If Bellamy came out and said, "Yes we coach our players to wrestle and instruct them to do it on the field" then I think a lot of angst would disappear.
