Do we keep Sandow?

I'm not going to do your job for you and point out stats he doesn't shine in

The Roosters halves were the worst at getting repeat sets last year, should they have got rid of Pearce and Maloney because of this?

The biggest thing I think everyone is missing is defence, and how our team defend a silly mistake or a miss kick (for example). We seem to basically drop our head straight away.
For example that double movement yesterday, most teams aim up after that and will have a big defensive set to make up for it. We drop our head, become soft and let in a try.

There is much bigger problems in this team at the moment other than Sandow.

Halfback needs to be vocal leader.
when something goes wrong, he is the chief culprit in the bad defence department.

in attack, his stats belie how bad he is. He gets try assists because he is always revving it to the redline. Every time he touches the ball he is trying to force the issue and produce a try. Can never just run the play, and so comes up with plebplenty of mistakes, or puts team mates under pressure. Some days it works out and he looks a million bucks, but most days he looks a reserve grader.

There is a reason he has never played finals. He is crap, way out of control, and unable to be tamed.
If he is with us next season, i will join the sack Arthur brigade.

There is more upside to Sandow than Norman, the scapegoat mentality is out of control. Sandow was involved in all tries and potentially the try to Semi and also his double movement, it's not his fault this team can't defend for the life of us. He was involved in none of the soft defence we conceded. We score enough points on average in games this season and with good defence like the Broncos we would be up there with the best of them.

You are going to be awfully disappointed with another missed finals series if you think the answer to all of our woes will be Foran partnering up with Norman, Johns/Lockyer wouldn't be enough to carry this plod. Our other "top players" are under-performing and overpaid.

How many times do the opposition force a line drop out against us week in week out. While whenever we are in the opposition in the 20 we either turn it over, kick it dead or dont get to our kick.

I understand with the new 7 tackle rules the halves would be hesitant to roll the ball in the in-goal but we never seem to able to build pressure on the opposition. Instead we try to go for the glory play which rarely works and let the opposition off the hook.

sandow just does not have the patience to control a game. I have given him the benefit of the doubt over the last 18 months. But after 4 years its time to go in a different direction and try someone else.

For Wenty? Or can they play fullback? We already have 2 halves for next year, why add more?

Back ups for wenty and if someone goes down.Id be happy too let sandow go mid year if we could get mcrone over or cornish.
Canberra would be happy to let mcrone go IMO and willing to pay a fair chunk of his salary as he is contracted till 2016.
This kid can play and if you want a 14 he would offer 10x more than de gois.

The last few weeks and even the last game he got repeat sets for us, Norman kicked a ball on the full into the in goal. We just don't capatalise on it because we are shit. I swear some of you are delusional. Go pull up some stats on repeat sets and get back to me.

Mcrone has only just turned 28 as well. Id be more than happy with him for the rest of this year and as a back up next.If we dont get a fullback he gives us some options with norman going there too( even thou i want norman at 5/8)

Some of you are living in a delusional fantasy land that believes our halfback is the cause of our staggeringly shit defence.

I reckon if we passed the hat around we could raise his plane fare

Just a wake up call: We have conceded on average over 25 points a game in a season where most other teams games have been close. Compare that to the dragons who have conceded 9 points a game average after 9 weeks and maybe stop making excuses for our team that isn't going to get any better with a halfback or coaching change. Where is Norman stamping his authority on our games? I don't see it.

Sandow missed 9 tackles yesterday or our 37.... Thats 25% . 16 other players made up the other 75%

How many of them were vital? It's only the tackles the lead to tries that matter.

Thats Horse shit. What about the ones that lead to a 15-20 mtr surge that change the momentum of the game or release the pressure or lead to a 40 mtr LB.

He did miss 9 tackles... I dare say that's a fair involvement with soft defence.

Because our halves are useless.

What sort of stats do you expect him to have when half the dropkicks in our side can't hold a ball? Our completions are shite and yet the main contributors to that keep getting picked.... like I said earlier get off Sandow's back and look at the real issues within our side.

Massoud and Co seem to go out of their way to dig up dirt on the Eels or League in general

this clown should be writing gossip for Women's Weekly
