Do we keep Sandow?

Folau in for Faraimo due to cap issues as well .

And maybe Seph Paulo isn't top 25?

Wasn't he re-signed really late in the piece, so wasn't part of BA's priority plans. Behind both Watmough and Edwards in the pecking order for jersey 13, he might have re-signed for sub Top 17 wages, and even been player #26... and hence part of our second tier problems (until 30 June, when maybe it's Paulo that wuld get Jarryd's spot for cap purposes)?

Weĺl he hasnt played since the cap debacle so it could explain it

With Sandow out of favour, I think he's surplus to requirements in any case going forward.

So assuming sandow leaves next year our halves are Foran and Norman. With ZDC signed by the panthers and kelly not looking to be signed by the eels, who will our back up or wenty halves be?

Time to bring back Corey Pearson methinks.

I'm pretty sure I read it.

Btw, do we have the right to rip up sandows contract for the remainder of the year?

You can terminate the players contract for pissing into his mouth or for repeated alcohol incidents etc, but Sandow has not done anything of that nature. Questioning a coaches tactics or ability publicly will not get you sacked, but won't do you any favours either.

What about leaving the scene of a car accident.... Or crimes against the impersonation of an NRL footballer.

I dont think our signings for 2016 are over just yet.
Expect an outside back or two and a backup half for sure.

Leaving the scene of a car accident and question your boss in the media not sackable you don't think?

Nah, we could suspend him for a week or two, and fine him the equivalent of one or two weeks wages, but anything more would probably be deemed excessive.

Not really a good situation for anyone involved (other than maybe the puppet masters if there are any).

I still don't see why we can't put Kelly in the 17 ahead of Alvaro. After all, it would be 2nd tier player for 2nd tier player. I'm struggling to see how a club ran two forwards, a half and a hooker on the bench a month ago is now getting a 2nd tier cap exemption to play four forwards on the bench. It makes no sense if it has to be like for like players.

Then, just start Kelly and put Sandow on the bench and just don't play him, or play him for 1 minute at the end of the game.

Tell me how is this any different than the way we're using Alvaro?

Parramatta captain Tim Mannah has admitted he's talked to under-fire playmaker Chris Sandow about his publicly-aired grievances over his on-field role under coach Brad Arthur.
Sandow upset the NRL club this week when he told a reporter the struggling Eels would win more games if he was freed from Arthur's structured style of football.
"I think if he (coach Brad Arthur) lets me play how I want to play, we'll win more games," Sandow said at the time.
"Everyone doesn't pay to come and see me play structured footy."

The 26-year-old trained with the team on Friday, but the club has reportedly told the 26-year-old he is free to leave immediately.
Mannah met with Sandow on Thursday to discuss the comments but told reporters it was a private conversation.
"It's important that we know where he's coming from. I had a chat with him yesterday to get his side of the story, (but) private conversations are best to stay in private," he said.
"There's no point us stirring the pot. If you've got questions, you can ask Brad or Chrissy about that. As a player, we just want to improve."
The Eels skipper did say, however, he was disappointed in Sandow calling out his coach outside of the team environment.
"There are definitely things you don't do in a public forum," Mannah said.
"But that's between Chris and Brad to work out.
"If there's an issue there they can sort it out between themselves.
"As a player, it's really important that we don't buy too much into it and we just focus on what we can do."
Teammate David Gower was also put out by Sandow's public frustrations, but argued the team's problems stemmed from their defensive issues rather than in attack.
"We're scoring good tries and we're scoring points. It's 10-minute lapses in defence that are costing us," Gower said.
"As far as all that goes, it's going to be between Chris and Brad.
"We need Chrissy, especially as a half, and Corey (Norman) to execute our game plan for 80 minutes."

Because Kelly is a half, and we don't need halves we need forwards. The NRL will allow dispensation only for what you need. It isn't as easy as what you're suggesting.

Here's another article from News. Surely Sandclown will no longer be at the Club by Monday...something must come to a head. In other news it appears that we cannot even pick specific second tier cap players, we have to choose ones indicated by the NRL...

How Seph Paulo can't jag himself a start back in the NRL under this second tier cap debacle is beyond me...

While I don't condone what Sandow has done, I think his frustration at his coaches ever-increasing tactical ineptness is understandable. You can bet your life that there are other players at the club who have massive questions marks over some of Brad Arthur's decisions this season, as his list of tactical blunders grows by the week.
