I think some of BA's emotion came not only from the fact that his eldest had his (Jake's) dream come true but also because Jake made Brad's dream come true. Remember that BA was a Parra Junior who didn't make it into the NRL.
He tried but was deemed too small and from memory made it to the Reggies before deciding to move to the Sth Coast and Captain/Coach Bateman's Bay. From there his path was as a coach and so to have your eldest son reach a level you dreamt about for yourself would invoke a mass of emotions.

I think he was also very greatful that the rest of the team were so supportive and helped make Jake's debut a success .... he said it in the presser and the way he hugged other merkins after Jake showed it too

I am critical and overly negative but after 35 years of failure and 8 an year coach having his team serve up the semen plop the side delivered the last 2 weeks on what planet should anyone be positive atm???

However interestingly some who are probably leaning to replacing BA had us finishing a lot worse (obviously still plenty of footy still to go)...

So has BA exceeded expectations.....thus is he doing well....what is it? Can’t coach but exceeding expectations......

Let's be honest. We played the storm in the wet, and a highly depleted Roosters team. We are a confidence team, and if we lost against one of these teams then we would have lost a few more after that.

We also always start the season well as bushys "chase the collision" game plan works when the team is fresh, but come middle of the season, the players are busted and start to struggle.

It's all downhill from here. I think we'll be lucky to.stay in the 8.

I also think Bushy is losing the players or the board. Leaving the coach's box and watching from the sidelines seemed suspicious.
