Technically he has only won 2 games from the last 13. I don’t know that any club in world sport would put up with that.

Happens every year in Major League Baseball. We won 5 from our last 20 games before we started out 2009 run.Not a reason to keep BA on at the end of this season, but firing him tomorrow will not help.

I must say I wasnt exactly impressed when BA said our defence was good. I thought it was particularly ordinary and has been for years.
Penalty against Parra leads to many trys. Do we ever defend back to back sets on our line?
Compressed defence that slides poorly isnt what I call good defence. We might win occasionally but we will have to score 20 plus points to do so.

BA got us out of the shit during 2013-2016. Let’s see what he does to get us out of this hole!! And he needs an off-season and the chance to recruit some new players first. You cant just change structures in a short time frame especially with the injuries we have.

If we are 2 from 11 this time next year, then yes it’s time to move him on!!

Additionally what better options are there out there right now? Most that are mentioned are terrible options.

The only thing the coach and his staff have been guilty of so far is overestimating our forwards and underestimating the influence that Semi had on our success. The rest of this season can be put down to one of those seasons, primarily related to some badly timed injuries to some key players within the squad,

If he doesn't retain players we don't need and can recruit players we do need then there is little reason why we won't be a challenger for next season, but we do need a couple of high quality forwards and another winger at a minimum

To do that though he has to have faith in 17-18 players of NRL standard and minimum wages for the rest of the 30 man squad. I'm not sure he's shown the propensity that he's going to do that though.

Unfortunately, every coach has an expiry date In the NRL. It doesn’t mean he can’t coach or is incompetent, it just means it’s probobaly the best if both parties went separated ways.

Unfortunately, no-one agree on what that expiry date is.

Brads game plan is based on statistics. He expects minimal errors, high possession and minimal penalties which will translate to points and in turn win games. For this style of footy the team play a simple conservative style.

So you're saying opposition coaches don't want their team to complete sets, dominate posession, have better field position, minimise errors, and limit penalties?

Of course they do, but other teams are allowed to play what's in front of them when they see fit.

Brad has them playing as robots.

Was discussing this today, has anyone mentioned that maybe BA wasn't given the chance to spend the amount of money he really wanted to last year?

Just a thought, we have heard Donnelly has been cutting costs, maybe he never allowed us to spend to much money either as far as our roster is concerned?

Good point DJ. A few people have raised something similar. I think it is definitely a factor.

I'm not so sure about it. I wonder how much are we saving and do them savings outweigh the financial benefits of having a more successful team? Winning puts bums on seats and brings in sponsors. Surely we are trying to MAXimise our earnings?
