mahoney has improved his attack, while Moses kicking game is now very good. Was just because of Joey ?

anyhow I reckon joey’s involvement was probably overstated, isn’t it individual coaching? Rather then having a say into our attacking structure?

That was my take, too.

And Moses' feel for the game - particularly inside the attacking 20m zone - didn't noticeably improve, imo.

Gutho’s manager is kidding himself if he thinks the eels will give him something close to $1 million ……

luckily now we have options……Russell? Arthur? So no longer have to pay stupid money….and just strengthen other positions

I reckon he left Will Smith on there because Moses going off was actually a mistake by the trainer... I mean Moses was only off for seconds and an interchange had been used up, probably unnecessarily. Losing Oregon after 48 seconds, meant there needed to be more rotations of the forwards throughout the remaining 79 minutes and with one wasted on Moses/Smith the remainder had to kept as long as possible.
Probably.

While he has never done full-time coaching before, does anyone think Sterlo leaving his commentary might be because he has finally decided to get off the fence and actually help his beloved Eels with some more hands on.
Maybe he is going to come on board as our 'attack' coach or our 'halves coach' or in some other capacity to help BA fix the attack problems that he has talked about for the last few years.
Has got to be a better option than A Johns.
Sterlo got Brandys SOO gig with Daley and lasted 5 mins. Thats about it. Never say never I guess. I still reckon Johns was forced on BA and that may well be the issue. Rheed definitely improved his vision but Gutho, Mitch and Dyl havent shown any new skills (maybe Mitchs kicking is slightly improved from last year). I was all for greater support for BA but if its not a good match it could add to the confusion. Our spine certainly played as if confused.

Sure is what club is going to pay him a million.

Storm - No
Roosters - No
Penrith - No
Souths - No
Sharks - No
Bulldogs - No and trent barrett punted him at manly

Sea Eagles - No but there is a chance he could go back there would have to take a massive paycut though Tommy turbo has the truck backing up for him
Warriors - No
Cowboys - No
Tigers - possible but obivously doesnt want to play finals anymore
Dragons - maybe but i would still think we are closer to a premiership then they are.
Raiders - no
Titans - No
Knights - No
Broncos - slim chance but seriously if Brisbane cant find a fullback in all of QLD they are kidding themselves.

Last time i believe our first offer was very low at 350k mark which pissed him off. I certainly wouldn't offer him anymore then 700k-750k.

No player should hold the club to ransom no matter how good they are especially after paying overs for Jarryd for so many years

Based on those figures thrown around in the media regarding players off contract, we could easily let Gutho/Marata go, keep the rest and upgrade the back line with $1 million plus to spend:

1. Drown/Russell/new signing
2. Russell/New signing
3. Penisini
4. New signing
5. Blake
6. JA/Drown
7. Moses

suddenly the backline wouId be a lot better

I thought that maybe he was playing injured because his form has been woeful since origin.

He did cop a rib injury in the titans game i dont know if that is affecting him as there was a rumour on the supercoach alert he was in doubt for the raiders game with that injury

I personally think he is injured and just doing enough to get on the field, same as Mahoney, I don't think was anywhere near 100% before he re-injured himself last week.
Thats the way BA rolls. Not only play them injured but play them 80 mins. Moses is obviously another. 3 players BAs career probably depends on. Too harsh?
