I thought last weeks win over The Cows would be our last for the season. To defeat The Storm at close to full strength, in dry conditions, away from Bankwest, with RCG, Matto and Rheed missing (note I didnt mention Stevo), where The Storm were chasing the all time consecutive wins record
and to spoil Cow-Fusi's 150 game celebrations is a massive achievement. Definitely my highlight of the year. Id be disappointed if we dont win another game this year but boy efforts like that will have plenty coming back for more. Can we find consistency? Gee I hope so. Well done BA.

What would the poll be now - If you beat Panther in last game you will play either Shark(22) who play Storms or Raider (22) who play a very under strength and wounded Chook - Titan(20) a mathematical chance play Warrior.

Minor Premiership back on so instead of resting players Storms and Panther will most likely be full strength for last round games barring injuries and suspensions that is.

Big Jack Gibson must have waved a wand from above to stop Storms from breaking the 19 game streak of his 1975 Roosters side :)

@Poupou Escobar i'd like to hear your thoughts on what the club should do with BA (beyond 2022) if we get through to the Prelim. Not that i think we will of course.
I'll back the club whatever they decide to do. They're the ones who see what's going on behind the scenes. I would be very surprised if they sacked the coach before next year, no matter how bad our remaining 2+ games.

Is it possible that the people behind the scenes can get it wrong? What would it take for you to have a different opinion to the club officials?

Last nights effort showed the talk that the players and squad not being good enough is just talk. Our under strength pack smashed theirs and speed in a back line made a big difference. Do we offer Fergo another cut price deal for a season??? It showed he still offers the team quite a bit on the wing???

It’s your night Pou but you wanted him out too. Let’s just be happy for the bald bastard.
It's not his night. Pou told us continually that the players are shit, not the coach, and cannot beat the top teams.

He was proven wrong

Yep. You are right. Some nuffies on the internet know more about the inner workings of the club, than the actual club.

Talk about giving yourself a wrap...

Gaz nailed it. I say this often and I’ll say it again. Rugba League is a roller coaster. Instead of spending all your time wishing that the last hill was steeper or the carriage was going faster and how the engineers don’t know how to do their job, it’s much more fun if you just sit back and enjoy the ride.

A great win tonight. Showed whats posible. We have a great roster. Nothings changed.
One thing different about last nights game to some more recent form, was that the players were switched on from the kick-off and brought energy and enthusiasm from the get-go. Even The Cheese made some comments to the effect that we were up and into them all game. BA mentioned the intensity seemed to be a little bit higher at training this week too. Our leaders in Gutho, Moses, Nrown and Paulo all stood up and led the way in attitude and effort.

With a better attitude and more purpose the players were able to defend better, make more ground up the middle and execute their shifts with more speed and precision. As a result we kept the team with a 20-2 win record to 2 tries while we scored 4 and none of the 4 were from those 'flukey' kicks which people seem to think is our only way across the tryline.

So maybe, just maybe, our attack is ok and our defence is ok. We got around Melbourne's edge defence 4 times to score. They got around ours twice to score and a couple of more times where we scrambled and made the tackle - with great defence.

Our forwards front-loaded their effort and chased the collision in attack and in defence. Our backs executed our shifts either right or left with confidence and precision and we won the unwinnable game, against 2021's unbeatable team.

For mine, what hasn't changed is our style of play which is designed to suit our roster. What did change was our attitude to play to that style.

Is that you IFR33K, being salty again because I have posted in this thread when the team’s performance proves that you lot don’t know what you are talking about ? That’s the only bit I’m right about.

You haven’t been right in 4 years. Twas a great win, let’s see if the bald headed merkin keeps em playing a nice brand of footy. Good to see it’s taken injuries to get team selection where’s its at.

I thought we had a little more ‘bodies in motion’ on our backline shifts. Not just a back line spread. We made the storm make bad defensive reads. Not an easy task.
