Honestly, I like Flanagan, but I also liked Peanut Norman and Kenny Edwards. I also think we should be cheating the salary cap. It’s not real life it’s a game ffs. It’s about winning.

Maybe because when we've been looking for a coach in a more recent time we've been down the bottom of the ladder.

We didn't have much problem in attracting coaches who had been to Grand Finals or won Premierships (i.e Smith, Hagan, Anderson) before the last decade.

Perhaps we got Gibson at the Club because we were in the Finals 4 of the previous 5 seasons. Sound familiar?

He’s a dead man walking. The board are aware the fans are growing restless.

after his antics of changing the dynamics of the team to suit his inept son, they know Ba has his limitations. Pressure will mount over the following weeks.

the media has been all over the shock loss since yesterday. Momentum will only build over the coming weeks if BA doesn’t find the solution. Even if he does, it’s only buying him time, as we all know his tactics aren’t good enough for week 3 come September… assuming we get there.

He won’t be sacked. Pressure will mount and they’re be a mutual agreement, where both parties shake hands and part ways.

We surely are an attractive option for a coach? Stable board with no footy knowledge, good squad,large junior area and plenty of funds. I think attracting the right sort of coach isn't the issue - it is the lack of appetite for change.

The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce two new coaching appointments.

Former NSW Cup Head Coach Ryan Carr has been elevated to assistant coach for the NRL team alongside Brad Arthur.

It follows the departure of David Kidwell to Argentine Rugby Union.

Fullback Jordan Rankin will take on the additional coaching role for NSW Cup as Captain/Coach.


In addition to Jordan, other coaches from our elite pathways will be elevated to support the NSW Cup program where required.

Because he was the one that had the wrong tactics and motivational issues against the Cowboys and the Dogs and the right ones against the Storm and the Panthers.

a quick browse shows just under half of our team are from our junior system, including Matto and Moses who also spent time at other clubs but came from our junior system

then there are the likes of Semi and Sivo whom we developed into NRL players

Unless you play for Rouse Hill Rhinos who the first grade coach is affiliated too its very hard to get a look in is what i have been told for some of these Matts & SG Ball teams.

That's not what the Panthers did.

My organisation submits tenders week in week out with the intention to successfully win work.

We win Tenders in the millions and lose Tenders that are few thousand bucks all the time.
Obviously we have a higher success rate with smaller contracts as they are "easier" to procure. But it does not mean we don't lose them at all.

I don't necessarily agree that BA is a poor motivator or uses poor tactics. Much like when we are actively trying to win more work (we don't necessarily lose it because of a lack of motivation or poor use of tactics). There is a multitude of factors that can impact this much like yesterday when we lost to the Bulldogs.

Maybe next week will be a "million dollar contract week" where we belt the Roosters? It's all part of the game.


Lets see how we are sitting in 6-8 weeks time.

Gould about 7/8 years ago poached our head of juniors, to panthers. Can’t remember the name but I’ll recall it if someone mentions it. I’m sure he’s still there. Maybe time to get him back.
