So now we are just making up stuff noice. 😂
No i am not heard it from multiple people over the past couple of years.

Even from another bloke on Sunday arvo i was speaking too when i was at a Ron Massey Cup Game talking about junior reps teams and stuff in parra area as he helps in that area.

Ill give you an example from a while back we have a family friend of ours had a son who was in the Matts development squad year or 2 ago he was the same age as Matthew Arthur.

Now this kid who is a family friend wasn't a dummy half he was a backrower/lock so he wasnt competing with MA for the 9 position. But one of his team mates at his junior club which is a strong club in the area who was a dummy half and from all reports is very quick from dummy half, rips in defensively didnt even get a look in. Got invited to the trial and development squad after a little bit was basically told your probably not going to get a gig here. Gone with the the kid from the Rhinos.

The only 4 Parra juniors (Penisini, J Arthur, Loizou & Russell) under 21 that are in our first grade system right now all played for the same team and were coached by none other then BA all the way in the junior teams at Rouse Hill. Not one other Junior club in our whole area has a kid at the same age group close to our first grade team or system atm. Can you find me one.

Now there is nothing wrong with those 4 per say in the system that's fine. Penisini is a gun, Russell has fair bit of potential, Loizou represented Australian Schoolboys & Jake is related to the coach.

Its the fact how many other good young kids aren't getting looked at closely enough because they don't play for Rouse Hill.

How many of these strong junior clubs do we have in the area Hills Bulls, Cabramatta, Guildford, Wenty Magpies are a few i can name.

Isn't Matt's under 16? So your family friend would have been 14 , 2 years ago in your story?

Good story though highly bias due to your hate to the coach which I understand.

Question to all the apologists.

why aren’t we able to produce high quality juniors?

if we’re on par size wise with the panthers, why aren’t our juniors coming thru?

Is it time we poach whoever is running their juniors?
It’s not like it’s new to BA’s tenure. That started way back with Hagan, so you’re apologist swipe is just looking to pick a fight.
Arguably the junior situation has turned around somewhat with BA. It just seems like the everything else over the period - well intended but not quite good enough.

Bs done well with the jnrs. Hagan neglected them somewhat. DA came in at the wrong time and him making the gf only prolonged his stay. SK and RS done more harm than good. Ba has been here 9 years and it would be nice to have a few exciting jrns coming thru, but we don’t. Not looking to pick a fight just stating why are you jrns poor. Is the system Broken?

Maybe because when we've been looking for a coach in a more recent time we've been down the bottom of the ladder.

We didn't have much problem in attracting coaches who had been to Grand Finals or won Premierships (i.e Smith, Hagan, Anderson) before the last decade.

Perhaps we got Gibson at the Club because we were in the Finals 4 of the previous 5 seasons. Sound familiar?
Or did we get him because we had a great crop of juniors coming through? Geography isn’t an inherent advantage at our club any more. You can tell this by the fate of our junior rep teams. Even our Harold Matts doesn’t win any more. It’s an expense that our management has done away with. I wouldn’t be surprised if the benefit under the NRL salary cap from the expense of junior ‘development’ (poaching) is 1:10 or less. It’s only a good equation for the absolute wealthiest clubs.

It’s probably more cost effective to get caught cheating the cap once every ten years.

’Our’ juniors generally live within driving distance of eight other clubs. They’re a short drive from four other clubs if you include the Blacktown Sea Eagles. These little merkins will play for whoever offers the most money.
