IT would be a pretty shit act having beers with the people you are trying to replace... I predict BA won't end up coaching Manly after his Eels contract runs out.

(But I do predict that M.Arthur might end up following in his brothers' footsteps and playing for Manly in the future, rather than playing/re-signing for us under BA...)

Why would BA go to Manly.

It's takes longer then 7 mins to get to Brookvale.

True... although if he was smart he'd be putting down a deposit on a home over that way, if only so Jake (and later Matt) have a place 7mins away from Brooky.

I wonder if our coach has finally accepted that this will more than likely be his last two seasons at the club?

Earlier this year in a press conference he did mention that being the Eels’ coach would not last forever.

Feels like forever to me.

I think 2024 is a huge year for BA. If we failed to make the 8 I doubt he makes 20245. But I do think we will bounce back. Unless we made a real push the next two years I doubt he stays. Even if we made top 8 both years. We need another GF or Prelim to save his bacon. Indont think we need to win it

He is cooked & stale. Unless we make another GF or win a premiership next year.

I would go after Holbrook in 2025.

I think tactically he is strong enough. And will learn from the mistakes he made up on the GC. Also the hole the GC were in when he took over from Garth Brennan in 2020 was dire straits and got them in the finals within 2 season.

We just need to figure out who the D coach would be.

That would be my only concern with Holbrook coming in the Titans defence was woeful under his watch. But was it his system, players, shit D coaches up there.

Maybe he'll quit to be Freddy's new NSW advisor?

I think what the Blues squad really missed was 16 water bottles in the coach's box and an ineffective interchange plan - well, maybe just the 16 water bottles.
Well at least Gutho might get more then 4 mins then.

I am still dirty over it. We tossed away a home game and a crucial 2 points for a dead rubber Origin so Gutho could play 4 mins, Reg gets picked after being ignored for years over a personality clash and throw in Moses as well.

Put those 3 back in the Parra side at home do we beat the Wahs. Maybe not but it would certainly been a different game we were on a 5 match streak as well full of confidence.

We normally bounce back after a shit year.

If Moses, Gutho and Brown are fit all year and remain on the paddock I predict we'll be right up there in 2024 and talk of whether BA should be our coach will disappear.

In fact, I'll go a step further and suggest we win the comp next year. Watch it happen and thank me later.

You sound like me in 2008.

I agree but I still have one eye on Peter Wallace. A quiet achiever I reckon.
