Unless we can get a dummy half that can go more than 35 minutes a game or one that has some sort of commitment. The might patch it up with Mitch's "Terrier" attitude but Gutho has been there for a couple of the 40+ scorelines

yeah, its easy for a DH to play 80 mins when they don't run with the ball, or even tackle for that matter

Kemp on the Captains run made an interesting point about the timing to move BA on now (not the decision but why now, not end of season).

With Moses/Gutho coming back, it had to be done now, just in case the eels went on a run, it would make it harder to sack BA....

He must read what I have been posting

In 2022 Moses was playing injured towards the end of the year. Jake Arthur, who had not been seen near FG for 10 weeks (since the last injury) was put on the bench in Rnds 18 and 19. Moses missed Rnds 21 and 22 injured. In those games the halves were JA and Dylan. When Moses returned, JA remained on the bench as cover right through up to the GF.

The spot on the bench that Nathan Brown took in the GF was constantly changing. It was normally Makka, but BA often slotted in Ogden or Cartwright. Carty 2022 was not the same player as Carty 23/24. He played 10 FG games that year. Ogden was ineffective and Makka was vanilla. The selection of Nathan Brown was from left field but playing the best team in 20/30/40 years he rolled the dice. I guess you are pissed that Makka, who had played 24 games that year, missed out on the GF that he deserved?
Do you really think that carrying a rubbish back up half on the bench ‘just in case’ is a good idea in the Grand Final? Moses played origin with a broken back he’d probably have to have broken a leg to get him off the field.

If your reasoning not to pick him is because semi injured Moses probably would have made it through the game, then fair play. There is a long list of coaches that would not take that chance however and would have a utility on the bench.
