Sorry Gaz, but that is a little bit of revisionist theory there mate.

French played a total of 2 games at 5/8 for Wenty (our 2's) and both of those early in 2019. The rest of his NSW Cup games were on the Wing or at Fullback.

And BA froze him out of FG because he refused to put his body on the line and do the work required to be an NRL winger. Perfect for ESL though.

He wasn't a winger. We had a better fullback in Gutherson.
Nobody else wanted him either so meh

After Gutherson emerged as the fullback, Arthur tried to fit French in the team. When it didn't work, he got rid of him. Are you saying he should've gotten rid of him sooner?

Bulked him and used as a backup fullback / utility...anyways enough of Frenchie. Good luck to him, he's made a home in the UK.

Do you not think with experience, maturity and possibly better coaching they have improved?
There are players who are a little bit overwhelmed, not ready, played out of position or unfortunately coached by Arthur when they come into 1st grade...that's enough to kill anyone's confidence

Why is this thread still alive? BA is gone. He’s moved on. We are not onto our second coach post-BA, surely a thread asking if we want him to be coach can be locked down?

He's way too expensive now Gronky since he's found his game. The NRL is full of outstanding 5/8s and fullbacks that probably cost less than Bev would be on.
The one element Bev provides is speed and unfortunately our previous coach didn't value it until it was too late.
Is Preston Campbell and Trey Fuller any better than Bevan French and he apparently chased both of those albeit too late.
