Eels don't need it you c**k-gobbler, the eels deserved it. How can you tell me all those consecutive wins and the top form of the eels in 2009 didn't project them from the bottom of the table to the top taking out just about every team in the nrl. They came from nothing, and managed to only just loose to a bunch of cheaters in the finals. Therefore eels should be premiers. You can spit out those sour grapes you've been chewing on since your team was knocked out of the 09 finals ;-)
They finished 8th during the year.... Once again though, you don't understand that it's not an Olympic 100m race and would like to claim this as your premiership as you haven't won anything for 30 years, probably your whole life time. I know that must be sad, but the majority of Eels (and all Manly) fans would see that you are being idiotic, and are probably embarrassed that you are claiming it.
And as for the preliminary final, we would have lost to anyone that night, Tonie Carroll was playing halfback! But we lost to the Storm (3 years in a row actually), they were cheating, but in no way do I feel that we 'automatically' should go down in the record books of being in the grand final.
And Manly and Brisbane both did better than the Eels during the season only to be knocked out by the same cheaters in the finals you f**king moron.
In fact three teams were illegitimately knocked out by the Storm last year. And because the Eagles finished the highest on the ladder out of those teams and thus were the best of them throughout the year, they have more right to be crowned premiers than you.
That's right. In fact, if the NRL decided the premiership would HAVE to go to someone (which they wouldn't, but for arguments sake), the fairest thing to do would be to take away all the points from the Storm games, and see who came first on the ladder. And that definitely wouldn't be the Eels.
