East coast is a better name as it incorporates anyone, from sunshine coast to bribie island, to redcliffe and morten bay to redlands bay all the way south to both Stradbroke islands.
It can realistically be a good chunk of SEQ, since also being a dolphin, having the coast is a good idea, and leaves the Brisbane Broncos with anything west of suncorp, effectively spliting SEQ in half barr the GC area

It would be a great name for the Dolphins. The only other name that would work is Moreton Bay, as it's a much revered strip of water that attracts weekend visitors from all over SEQ every weekend. Plus Moreton was the original settlement in Queensland and it was based in Redcliffe before being moved to Brisbane, so there's history to go with it that would tie the Redcliffe Dolphins with the new NRL team.
