Ivan was obviously taking lessons from Darren Albert in 2000 from the GF Qualifier between the Roosters and the Knights. Just on halftime Albert scores for the Knights to extend the score 16-2, so he blows kisses to the camera. The Knights then doubled down as, when leaving the field at halftime, Andrew Johns says to Luke Ricketson (who came off early in the first half with a hamstring injury) "get ready to enjoy mad Monday."

All this went around the Roosters dressing room at halftime firing them up and they come out and beat the Knights 26-20 to make the club's first first grade GF in 20 years.

It has got to be tough cheering against ex players and coaches in the finals each week who have gone on to better things. Hoping other good teams can knock them out since they dominated the Tigers in the regular season

As a dragons fan, take it from me... losing one grand final is tough... but losing in 5 consecutive grand final appearances was a mental Armageddon.

And our coaches didn’t have to blow kisses to do it.

Albert was not provoked by a belligerent dick yelling filth at him. That "fan" also had his 9 or something year old kid with him, what a f**ken role model.

If any positive came from the event it'd be that kid realising his dads a f**kwit and if you act like a f**kwit you'll get treated like a f**kwit. Better to be the winner blowing kisses than the irate loser blowing a gasket.

Ivan could've spat on WT fans and players as they entered the ground and I doubt WT have the self respect to garner up a "f**k you" win.

. . . so at a sporting event, a fan is talking shit to the opposition team, fans or coach, and you see that as wildly out of the norm ?
You would think that the coach, as a role model and all that, wouldn't get engaged . . . even if he was "provoked" by an over-excited fan. You know, like 95% of the other coaches in the same situation.

I’m outspoken on this but 1993 was far worse than 99. Many forget we finished 6th and the Storm finished 3rd that year. Yeah we should have won from where we were but the Storm were a quality team.

1993 we were never in the contest, at all. Completely went missing. Worst game by far all year and probably the most forgettable grand final in the modern era - only remembered for being the 2nd in a row for the broncos...
