You'd think their sponsors and membership team would like the extra exposure...

I think sponsors would be far happier with a club focusing on developing a successful team and having their logos getting plenty more FTA coverage, rather than wasting the club's time on a poorly produced cable show that is barely a blip on most peoples radar. The ironic thing is, the more coverage like this papers give us, it means we're more likely to get those FTA games. It creates a siege mentality that every fan of our team wants to see us play or every opposition fan wants to see us get smashed, either way it means good ratings.

Fair enough, if the Dragons dont want to be involved because of a previously poor experience then thats up to them.

Well it has been done to death now, but I think the Dragons club, the team sponsors and Dragons supporters are best positioned to answer that. It seems that only a few opposition fans and whinging media types have an issue with it.

Most Saints fans are happy with the news about players, and don't give a stuff about this show.

The sponsors do get extra exposure. Turn on the TV this Saturday night.

Then tune into Friday night football for the first five rounds of the premiership.

My prediction this year: complaints from opposition fans that Saints are getting too much exposure. Possibly some of the same that are complaining in this thread.

Just a show of hands from my fellow St George fans, does anyone really give a sh*t that we were not involved in this?

Nope

I don't know what it's like in Perth, I'm guessing League is screaming for any form of coverage.it in the paper

You would be right there but when the show was only going to be on Fox Sports anyway it would hardly be any ground breaking coverage. I hadn't heard of the show before I read the article yesterday

doust is the new fitzgerald, the papers need a ceo to pick on

now that parra and the dogs have golden haired boys in charge

sad but true. Doust is now the longest serving CEO in the game. He has made some terrible calls in the past (looking at our jerseys occasionally now), but generally, he has done a good job over the last year or two.

Looks like he has a big News Corp target on his back.

You can pretty well track it back to about midway through last year when Doust did not return the calls of Rothfield who wanted to do a story on the Dragons. Rothfield has been sulking about it ever since.

Biggest shocker since Brisbane refused to enter a player in the 2003 Sexiest Man in League comp tbh.
