Do you mean soft underbelly like the 2001 runaway minor premiers going into the Grand Final then being down 24 zip at halftime. Or what about the 2005 Minor Premiers losing 29 - zip to the Cowboys in the GF qualifier. Or do you mean soft underbelly like when your leading the dogs by 18 points with 15 minutes to go in a Major semi.

Yes Parraboy, as an Eels supporter you should know all about soft underbellies.
lol, goose.

Hahahha oh dear. One good winning streak all year and most of you can call us soft? Please. We'll being your mob back down to earth next week.

whats that smell in this thread? ohh thats it the stench of fear
p.s. konk i like you going back in time not one but two coaches ago to bring up those losses if your team showed half your desperation last night they might have won

Bennett will have them pumped. He's a smart operator and knows when to bring his players down to earth and when to build them up. I'm not surprised if he actually wanted them to drop a few so that they can get their heads out of the clouds.

He will hammer them at training now because he can hammer them about something. Before, when they were winning he could not hammer them about anything. Hewill play the mental game with his players and he is the best at it.

He will have them primed for the finals. I would not read too much into their last few results.

They will beat the eels easy by 30+

lol @ eels fans who won over a tired storm team just by 2 points after leading 16-0 , a depleted sharks , out of form warriors out of form knights, tigers and depleted panthers teams.

most teams with that draw would have won 7 in a row

Really think you are a chance lol, the eels form is not as good as you think you going to get belted,
you left one out mate after the storm we beat the bulldogs 27-8 explain that one away

the bulldogs yes i will acknowledge they are the only team in the top 4 what the eels will beat, and would prefer to play

but you got to admit the apart from the tigers where the eels were out played and good enough to win, the eels form isnt crash coming into the finals

anyteam would beat the sharks, warriors, knights and panthers at the time of the eels played them

so the eels wouldnt be too confident

Hi Bazal,

Agree with most things you are saying.

Next week will be super interesting from both a Dragons and Eels point of view. Either the scores will be very close, with either side winning, or the Eels will run away with it with a huge score. Hope its the former.

This morning, I've had to double up on my Zoloft, plus 2 valium as chasers. Last night was like a nightmare come true !!

Anyway, congrats to you guys for making the final series. Keep playing the way you have been, along with the Titans and Broncs and the finals will be very interesting.

Yes it is more than possible for Saints to come 3rd on the ladder, but I don't even want to think about that now.

Cheers
GO

How about "glass already more full than I expected it to be"? Honestly, I'm stoked that we've done what we have, we've been nothing short of spectacular in recent times. We CAN beat the Dragons, for sure. However, I also understand that the Dragons outclass us with a bit of ease and could thump us if they feel like it...
"The cup runneth over....!!!"
Let's see just how much Drags outclass us ATM
Hayne v Boyd ---no brainer (which is what Boyd is anyway)
Grothe v Morris --only if Slip gets outside of Guru
Inu v Cooper ---Inu on current form , Coops if he gets his head right
Reddy v Scott --- Reddy prob third best centre in comp ATM
Mortimer v Soward--- Soward starting to run out of gas
Robson v Hornby ---- Happy to rate Robbo at least equal
Cayless v Poore --- Jeez I hope Poore improves when we get him
Keating v Young --- MK more dangerous at dummy half
Moimoi v Weyman --- Fat slob will only stop him if he sits on him
Hindmarsh v Creagh --- Creagh is their dangerman , Hindy more than up to it
Smith v Prior ----- Smith hits 'em , they stay hit .
Lowrie v Costigan -- Todd on fire but concede Costigan more dangerous
Galovao,Mateo,Kingston,Mannah v Hunt,Smith,Fien,Saffy
I think we've got them covered here simply with Feleti . Fien = Kinga
Joe & Tim at least = to Saffy & Hunt.
Quietly confident mate.

I agree with yycheng. A close loss would be a good thing in the long run - it keeps our players on their toes - it's the only time we can afford to lose from now on (so long as it's close). I'm sure we will turn it around first week of the Finals if we play the dragons again. On the other hand the dragons are shoot..... mentally. In reality if we get a lead at any point next Fri they won't be able to fight back, and I bet the supporters know it; if the we get an early lead, it could be another embarrassment for them.
