Jai Arrow is a quality player and a like-for-like replacement for JDB but apart from his asking price being too steep, there's still the matter of the coach and the shit fight our club has become. No one will come to us unless they're a hasbeen, a never was or we pay them massive overs.

If the club thinks they will achieve much in 2020 with basically the same squad as there is now they are deluded. Deadwood abounds, and apart 3 or 4 quality forwards and a couple of backs the squad is less than ordinary. Added to that a pretend coach who cannot get anything out of his roster the scenario is less than bleak. If the rest of the mess had the same attitude as Cameron McInnes,we would be much better off.

The roster is decent and was more than capable of being a mid table side.

To make top 6 it had to play at its very best all season.

Most of the squad woke up from its trance during pre-season and stopped believing in Mary’s BS game plan.

When the belief left the mind of the players, we were toast irrespective of injuries and the JDB debacle.

Dufty - (f/b) reportedly being let go
Field - (back utility) contract expires 2019
Kaufusi - (Prop/edge) contract expires 2019
Kerr - (prop) contract expires 2019
Latimore (prop) retired
Maranta - (centre/wing) contract expires 2019
Nicholls - (half) contract expires 2019
Robson (hooker) signed with Nth Qld
Sailor - (f/b utility) contract expires 2019
Timm (prop) apparently not wanted.
Widdop - (half) signed to ESL

The DS squad:
Blacker (prop) - move to top 30
Ford -(edge) move to top 30
Lovodua - (hooker utility) probably move to top 30
Lomax H - (lock) probably stay on DS
Saab - (wing) move to top 30

Tbh it wouldnt surprise me to see the likes of Allgood, Maranta and Nicholls offered 1yr deals. Sailor looks certain to be asked to re-sign and Kerr as well and with the 3 maybe 4 of the current DS added.
Young Schiller will probably be added to the DS for 2020 along with Sullivan.
JDB is the unknown.

2020 squad to look something like:
Allgood, Blacker, Ford, Frizell, Graham, Host, Kerr, Lafai, Lawrie, Lelua, Lomax, Lovodua, Maranta, McInnes, Nicholls, Norman, Pierson, Periera, Ravalawa, Saab, Sailor, Sims K, Sims T, Vaughan.

Thats 24 (add JDB = 25).

DS - Sullivan, Schiller, Lomax H.

Ultimately Possm you are spot on. Spot on, but it won’t happen.
We need to remember that it is not just the damage Mary does to the side we have that is so destructive but also the damage he has done to the side we COULD have had. I have said before that a friend of mine played for Parra and in England and he maintains that players don’t rate him, and more importantly, neither do the managers. Look I know Mary no doubt works hard with the team and has done some good work at times BUT for the love of god he needs to go. He is destroying this team and the team we might have been able to have in 2020. In my mind though the greatest villain in this whole fiasco is Brian Johnston. He is a serious non event. For a player who showed both flair and determination on the field, he has shown little or no ability off it.
