Hose was a so so player but is a coaching oracle.

When he was in charge of the aloha turtles in American Samoa, he radically changed the attacking structures of his sides by replacing chip and chase practice with intermediate dwarf-throwing.

It was considered quite revolutionary for the game in those days and a lot of clubs thought psychic wristbands were more helpful.

Nowadays you can’t walk past an nrl centre of excellence without some kind of dwarf action.

Old mate No way Hose is currently a gear steward under Bennett at the Broncos. Specialises in mouthguard security.

This was very cool... until they mentioned they were using the same engine that is installed In my Australian built car.

Hell I love the new Commodore even if a 1986 Russian Lada sport 180b goes faster, is smoother and uses less fuel.

If only the dwarf car guy was in charge of the parramatta stadium, actually, make him president of Australia during the Royal junket.

To counter claims of Eels fans being happy with this, I've encountered several Eels fans who are frustrated with their club that it has come to this at all. They see that Hayne was their one positive for the whole season, and was regularly firing up the team around him during their wins.

Jarryd Hayne and St George Illawarra ‘not a bad fit’, says Mark Geyer
The former Penrith Panther thinks it could work, but will it happen?

He didn’t see it coming but Penrith legend Mark ‘MG’ Geyer believes the rumour Parramatta veteran Jarryd Hayne could make a shock switch to St George Illawarra makes perfect sense for both player and club.

The news of the Dragons’ interest in the two-time Dally M medal winner, initially reported by Wide World of Sports, spread quickly on Wednesday.

Hayne is growing more frustrated by the day over the Eels’ failure to table an offer for the 2019 season.

Eels CEO Bernie Gurr and coach Brad Arthur have both publicly expressed their desire to re-sign the Hayne Plane but Geyer believes the 30-year-old should join the Red V if he receives a genuine offer.

“I hadn’t thought about any other club in Sydney acquiring him but the minute I heard about the Dragons I thought it’s not a bad fit,” Geyer said on Triple M’s The Rush Hour With MG.

“Nene Macdonald is gone (to North Queensland), Jason Nightingale retired and Hayne is a utility back with experience.

“… And I think the baggage that Jarryd Hayne is carrying from the 2009 (grand-final loss to Melbourne) as an Eel has crippled him a bit and I think a change of club could be just what he needs.

“… Everything seems to me that Parramatta are baulking at signing Jarryd Hayne and if they do sign him they’re going to come back with a reduced offer.

“I believe he’s still got two really good years in him, maybe three and I think at the Dragons he will play without the handcuffs of expectation that he’s been basically shackled with all this time.”

Hayne returned to the Eels in 2018 on a one-year deal after walking out on his $1.2 million deal with Gold Coast to return ‘home’ for $700,000 less.

After a sluggish start due to consecutive hip injuries, the former Kangaroos and NSW star finished the Eels disastrous campaign strongly.

Hayne went public with his frustrations at Eels management last weekend but Geyer believes the versatile veteran would thrive in Wollongong.

“I think for the Dragons they’ve got a really good leadership group in (James) Graham, (Tariq) Sims, (Jack) DeBelin, (Tyson) Frizell and they’ve got (Gareth) Widdop and (Ben) Hunt in their halves,” Geyer said.

“But they’ve had two massive losses (Macdonald and Nightingale) … obviously they’ve got Tim Lafai and (Euan) Aitken in the centres but I just think for his experience at the moment (it’s worth signing Hayne) for at least two years.

“And I think Jarryd Hayne without that expectation he’s got in the blue and gold, I think it could be a really good move for him.”

Wingers these days are as big as the forwards , he would have got away with it in the late 70 s 80s but not now ... As for signing Hayne I say yes for right money he would be better than Atkin and Lafia , and can play in more positions if needed ......

The reported offer tabled to Hayne is 500k per season. Even at 600k it is a bargin if he performs. He will do most damage at fullback, Lomax and Lafai at centre can defend and the wingers can be selected on off-season form. With Hayne at fullback and Lomax at right centre, the look of our backline is a huge change on what we had in 2018. There is still a few questions to answer:
  1. What happens with Aitken and Dufty, is it off to ISP for these two?
  2. Is Mann moving on, if so who will be our utility on the bench?
  3. Will our two new young speedsters measure up for first grade, they may just shine in the off-season?
  4. Will the new Board bite the bullet and hire a new coach?

1) who cares.......at the most Id say Aitken could play off the bench in Manns old role as Id have MANN at wing above Aitken and probably Field on the bench as supersub ahead of him also, of worst comes to the worst, maybe Aitken at wing? above a new guy, pearson or fijian dude

2) if we sign Hayne we dont need Manny....but id love to keep him as winger or still as supersub

3) Persons clearly a gun! Ive got friend sin Brisbane Bronocs camp trust me, just as I proved last year when I did my post about how scared they were of us in the semi and they were.....it worked , my Broncos fella is deadset spewing they lost him, actual team is, inner circle hes a goodie!! Pearson will play first grade for us probably ahead of Periera and way above Ravalawa, hes a beauty apparently probably better than Nene so no loss there.....get him in there!

4) damn well hope so!! but even with the team we will have if Hayne signs, we still can win the comp! but id prefer a new coach of course Ive been so vocal about Mcfroghead, lovely fella but no first grade coach
